Given your fathers health you may wish to look into a champ permit for him.

I agree with GreyGhost. If everyone on the app had to surrender their tags then this would be a moot point. After all, (theoretically) the whole point of putting in as a group is to hunt as a group. If one person can't make it, then the others are out as well and they can all try again together next year. It might limit how many people put in as groups, but if you did, you'd be dang sure it was a true friend or a family member. As such, if they surrendered a tag, I'm sure it would be for a dang good reason (i.e. major medical or dream hunt out of state), in which case you'd likely be there with them anyways.

Any chance we could get a better picture of the entire unit? Might help folks a bit more than your first photo.

3 phase power and VFD's..who knows about them?
metau replied to southernxpress's topic in The Campfire
Yeah, still got to build my shop though. From what I've researched so far, I'm decided to wait until I find a good deal on an overhead crane and then size my shop accordingly. -

Nice. Been looking at mills and lathes myself for when I build my shop. I may have to pick your brain when the time gets nearer. -

More importantly, what new toy did you pick up? -
You can buy a NIB henry for less than that.

Always go hunting with the ability to hunt whatever is in season. Awesome job.

Best excuse to get a boat if I ever heard one.

Thanks for the offer to install. I've installed all of my Jewells so far. Picked up my first Timney last month for my 243 but haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. Am waiting to see how I like it. Also want to try one of the Calvin elites in my 308 when I get to that gun.

Where did you pick it up at for that price?

Any of those hats come from the balloon raffle at the AES banquet? -
What draw weight is she looking for?

Awesome triggers. Mind if I ask what you swapped it with?

What would be the concerns with a super panga? Just the small size? Wife and I are thinking about heading down in August and I'm starting to read what I can.

Need a new processor...Denmark won't take wild game
metau replied to Basser15's topic in The Campfire
Von Hanson's makes an awesome jalepeno cheddar smoked sausage. If you are looking for cheap processing, Maricopa skills center is the place to get it done. -
Love my 660's. Been looking for deals on some 600's as well.

Two completely different hunts. Both doable. Neither will be easy. If you do the archery hunt, don't expect much bugling. I'd suggest being there in August when the season opens, before the hordes hit the mountains chasing elk.

And don't forget your fly rod or ultra light spinning rig.

I'll see you tomorrow. Will confirm time later this evening.

OTC Bull tags for 2nd/3rd rifle season. Lots of elk. Crawling with hunters. Still better than not hunting. Do it.

Would like some load development done for me
metau replied to codyhuntsaz's topic in Long Range Shooting
I'd suggest having someone teach you how to reload. Cause you're going want to do it. You can have them walk you through the steps, help you figure out what components to buy and then use their press(maybe dies too) with them there teaching you how it is done. I've met a few guys over the years that used to reload for others, but all of them have stopped doing it due to liability issues. -
Habitat for humanity will allow those as young as 15 to volunteer, I believe. 16 on job sites, but no power tools.
