  1. Access on the west side is limited, at best. I ended up taking the Copper Creek road back in as far as I could, and then loaded up. I only made it about 3 miles back in, but never saw a soul.

    Archery Bear/What if...

The only place I can locate in the regs what constitutes a legal bear is in the commission order, and it states "any bear except sows with cubs". If it is a sow and cubs are nearby, but out of sight, then it is still a sow with cubs, and would therefor not be legal wildlife. I'd expect a citation and a visit to the commission to plead your case to not have your hunting and fishing privileges revoked. I could see the game warden falling back on a core principle of hunting, knowing what your target is and what's beyond it, before taking a shot. If you don't know that your target is something other than a sow with cubs, you shouldn't take the shot. Not trying to sound like D***, but depending on who the officer is and their disposition that day, they might be.
  3. I tried coming in from the north and west sides last year. Got close to the wilderness, but there were no trails and I had to hike up and over the top of the ridge to get where I wanted to go. Not a smart move. I believe there are still two access points that are still open with trailheads to get back in there. Fourmile, Long Hallow and Rattlesnake access points are closed. Deer Creek is supposed to be open, but I never made it that far down on the east side. There is also supposed to be an open trailhead at the south end of the west side, but I cannot remember the name now. As for water, I found a small seep and set up camp nearby, but ran out of water on day 4 and had to pack out early. Not sure where the next closest water was, as I had a lion drinking from it my last two nights walking back to camp in the dark. I've heard there are springs further in, but I never made it over the ridge and stayed on the west face.

    Trekking Poles

I have a pair similar to Lance's. Love them. Aluminum with the shock absorption. Not sure I would want to use a carbon fiber pole as I mine a scratched all over from bushwhacking. Finally had one go out on me last year on my hunt in 32. The mountain gave way under my feet coming down hill and the pole bent, but likely saved me from snapping my ankle.
  5. All PM's responded to, sold items deleted and SPF's updated.

    Goodwin Fire

If you need some gear for camp this year, let me know.
  9. All PM's replied to. Still would like to know which rangefinder you are interested in.
  10. I can take some next time I'm up at my old place, which will be later this week. Which rangefinder are you interested in?
  11. The Dillon was sold last week, hence why the price is Struck Through and it says sold after it.
  12. Nope. Just cleaning some things out that do not get used (except the swaro's), and paying off the last of my debt before summer is over.
  13. Was out of town for a few days, but all PM's replied to.
  14. I apologize for the slow PM responses this weekend, but all PM's have been replied to now.
  15. BTT, willing to hear reasonable offers.
  16. The 6.5 mag is sold. Here are the pics of the Dillon. Cannot add them to the original post for some reason. Added everything that is included with it and adjusted price accordingly.

    Sig Kilo 2000

    I'll take it. PM incoming.
  18. The rifle the PST is on is not for sell at this time. Thank you for asking though.
  19. Pics added of some of the stuff. Will post more later when I make it back home.
  20. BowElk- It was right at 1 moa with both Hornady and Weatherby factory ammo. My load development never made it far enough to say it was a 1/2 moa shooter, but the results were promising. There were several loads I know it did NOT like, so I will have to see if I still have my notes out on it and can tell you tonight.

    Some UPS Counter Employees Suck

300 is correct. The issue is not with UPS, it is with the person that doesn't know federal law or her company policy. A call to her supervisor with references in hand for the company policy and applicable USC, along with the person's name who is being ignorant about the fact, should resolve the issue. I am curious if this has any merit for a case of discrimination?
  22. I recognized it years ago, but unfortunately my ex did not share the same vision, and things got away from me for a while. Just getting things back in line with where they need to be.
  23. Lee- Of course you can. They're called American greenbacks, and 600 of them would tell me exactly how much you want it...
  24. Casey- Yep. That's the start of it. I'll be posting more over the weekend. With the exception of the Swaro's and Jim White head, I just do not use the other stuff enough to justify keeping it around. Way too many projects, so I am consolidating many things, downsizing and paying off what little debt I have left. I want to get back on track for my early retirement and would rather spend those years traveling, hunting and fishing rather than cleaning guns I don't have time to shoot. Toby- With the exception of the rangefinder, I do not think I am at half of what I paid on anything listed. Some things are listed closer to what I paid than others are, but I feel all are at points to sell. I will give my CWT family first shot at everything before posting to other sites. All firearms to be sold upon presenting an AZ ID card, 18+ for long guns and 21+ for pistols. I have also decided to step away from shooting 3 gun, so anyone interested in that gear and those firearms please PM me and I can work out a package deal for you.

    Toll road Colorado

Yep, E470. Used to take it all the time when I was stationed at Ft Carson and picking up folks at the airport. Was well worth the $3 to bypass all the construction in Denver proper, not to mention never seeing a LEO and could let me foot press freely on that gas pedal.
