This is a very cool, unique buck I killed in Jan. In Mx. I was alone at dusk and didnt get good field pics. Clay did a great job as always. I havent been sharing too much over the last couple of years but figured I should catch up.

Guess the score (updated with score)
WHT_MTNMAN replied to trphyhntr's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Score is a good way for hunters to share and discuss animals in relatively but has become such a inflated, misused # that unless I know someone personally I take score with a huge grain of salt. It really has become a tainted reality -
Sorry Bob! Having never met you and I didnt look close just saw the kickers. My apologizes, you shot a great buck!

I was only saying that without all of the body, your buddy or anything else to judge from, except close up of ears and head makes it a little tough. It's a super cool buck. -
Great bucks...Bob I saw yours on Duwanes site. Congrats!

I agree tricky pics for me...could be 95 or 120. My guess is 103-5ish. Super sweet buck. -
Crap! That was a cool buck

Very cool. I like them!

I use my spotter as a way to judge a buck. If I cant see antlers with my 15s I'm not interested anyway. For me a straight spotter is 10x better than an angled. Angled is great for steep uphill shots but other than that it takes too long to acquire your target. In Mexico for example I use my spotter to judge bucks sometimes 20-30 times. it is faster to remove 15s acquire target, quick judge remove spotter put 15s back on and continue glassing with a straight.

I helped a guy a little bit from Wy a few years ago.

SO? Good luck with the sale Ric, but the real question is how was the hunt? Houston

Great job! Congrats on some awesome bucks.

I had a black pair built around 2006 and sent them back no problems. I've sent a few different pairs back for cleaning and maintenance and the only time I was charged was when I dropped them and actually broke glass. I believe I was charged $200.

That's a tough way to make 400" Congrats Hoss on a great bull in a tough year.

Cool bull, top end sure showed signs of drought. It was an overall rough year for elk.

Awesome! Great bucks. -
What a great buck and yes it is great having history with a buck. I love character bucks and that one has it all on top of being big!

Since the elk season has started I was thinking back on how tough bull elk really are. I have gutted/cleaned/processed many bulls with old bullets, broadheads etc.. still in them. I am never surprised anymore on what a bull can withstand. A few years ago, I thought I hit a bull perfectly, even had my buddy film him walking away with blood midbody right behind the shoulder, this bull proceeded to go over 3 miles. My first arrow was at 7:30 am and my last was at 6pm. It was the craziest thing I had experienced. Also a couple of years ago I was helping a friend and he made a perfect shot (see picture) this bull stayed alive for almost 8 hours before we were able to glass him up and then close the distance. This picture was taken literally 5 or 6 hours after the shot. They are incredibly tough. Anyone else have stories or pictures showing the incredible will to live these bulls have, Post em up! congrats to all of those elk hunting.

Huskys are great saws. I'm partial to having a dealer close by. I like doing my own general maintenance and repair but I like have someone close that knows inside and out of my saw. For that reason I'm running a Stihl as my main saw
