i had 1 on a waterhole from April til' beginning of August.. only because it was a walk in about 3/4 mile. 1 person showed up on it then water dried and I pulled it. sucks cause the bucks were startin to hit it every other day!! luckily it didn't get jacked! doesn't matter the unit if they want it they will take it. it only makes it a easier target to put them on waterholes that are easily accessible. as said before.. it's not just hunters out there... tree huggers,G&F,NFS,ranchers,hot shots,hikers,campers,illegals,peta,. I had a guy look up close at my cam and the next pic he was peeking around it to... I don't know, maybe see if it was still powered up. didn't steal it . it looked funny though, he prolly had a camera in the area cause there were several. I guess you know you found "THE SPOT" when there are cameras everywhere.. LOL! J/K. when walking to my blind I came across 1 I hadn't seen and it was still dark and I prolly looked bewildered in the pic... standin there bow in hand back pack on and all like what the .... sucks you can't put em on a tank without em' gettin jacked! 1 last thing..... CHIGGERS SUCK! James

I know I'm not really getting any tree stand love right now! standman is a stone cold coues killa on here was wondering what he thought.... He has mad experience sitting for days on end. lol! I'm a blind guy too, but stands can get it done as well. that wind checker becker was talkin about... 1 I know of is made by primos and is in a can like a can of snuff and it's bright green like fuzzy that you can pinch off a bit and it actually shows the way the current blows... up down left right. I know you can't think about anything else right now... LOL! if you are at work you are not going to be productive til' you stick that buck so just take the rest of the week off! LOL! James

leupold full draw rx. designed for archery and compensates out to 175yd after that line of sight. I get readings out to 780yds. I think it was 340$ lightning fast and consistent... my only complaint is when it's quiet the button sounds loud, but I think I'm paranoid cause the doe didn't seem to care or spook. LOL! James

setting up a blind and brushing it in to take away the horizontal lines, ie, roof line and blend it into the surroundings should work. sounds like they are definitely winding you. 2 treestand idea is a good idea as well, pick the 1 that is right for that wind. are they coming to your spot for water,salt? or are they on their way to food or water, or? looks like plenty of brush to blend in your blind. I have the still call, works pretty good. I mostly use the randy anderson stuff, made by primos. I like the raspy coaxer.... has the little squeaker I think when you flip it around. do they have any howlers?? James They had Howlers, mostly the Knight and Hale ones, I think they had a primos or two... would you like me to grab one or two for you? If you have a specific Knight and Hale or Primos Howler you're looking for just tell me which one and I'll try to find it... don't like the knight ones. if they have the primos LIL" DOG, I'll take that!
