I’m out side of strawberry the rocky rds are ok but the dirt roads are pretty sloppy right now

I know we always worry about spring and early monsoons for antler growth and what not but these oct rains are what really anchor javelina to new growths in the wash bottoms come Jan/feb.

I really thought that theses tags were going to wounded combat vets. Or terminal kids. I’ve donated tags to both groups. I’ll have to do much more research the next time donate a tag. it may sound harsh or mean but remember I’m combat veteran of the US ARMY. “Service connected” means very little to me. I’ve seen it awarded due to ingrown toe nails and high blood pressure. In my experience people work the system if given the chance......for their entire lives. I hope that’s not what’s happing here.

I called in a big desert Mule deer with a burp about 5 years ago. He was grunting like crazy. He let out a long snort weeze just before I killed him. It was pretty cool

No me. January is my least favorite season. Sure I’ve killed a few Mule deer and coues deer spot and stalk in January but Dang these deer are always moving and always moving in the wrong direction. And they hardly ever bed. Atleast not in a spot I sneak into. Ill still be out there several weeks but going after javelina first of course.
