Was this buck shot in an open unit? During legal shooting hours? With a bow having a legal draw weight? With an arrow tipped with a legal broadhead? There are plenty of law to break.

I would leave all your your Colorado knowledge in Colorado. These deer live where they live. Regardless of the elevation. If it's coues country it's coues country. -

I don't claim to be an expert about coues. But I've hunted them long enough to have picked up a few things. When I'm checking a new area I start low and work my way up the mountain. I normally find them right where they are whether that high, low or in the middle. Normally they are there year after year. I've killed bucks as high as 6000 in the general hunt. As low as 2800 during the august archery season. -
I was looking at this pack for extended trips. When my team elk just can't carry enough for 3 or more days. I was thinking most of my backpacking stuffs would fit in the pod. Any one use this pack to backpack?

Camo jeans. They won't win any fashion shows but you can wear them more than once out hunting.

Hollow points. It's a lot easier to get one with a bow than a pistol.

I carry them in a kuiu xl harness. I used them off hand while hiking, they seem very stable to me. -
That's a Purdy buck

That sounds like a heck of a hunt. Way to stick with it. And colt being there makes it that much better

Just another reason not to flick sticks! Use a gun!. No bet bills for dead stuff. No way in heck on gonna take anger management classes for killing a ferrel animal. the judge insisted.

My neighbor hit a cat with a field tip 10 years ago. Along with the animal cruelty charges and the anger management classes and the 24 months on probation. He was forced to pay the veterinarian Bill. Needless to say we Trapped the rest of the feral cat in the neighborhood. They not hard to fool. Line the bottom of the cage with cardboard. They don't like the wire in there feet. The best bait I've found is canned mackerel

That a nice buck. That's a long backpack hunt thru some weather -
I'm in the same boat. I washed the blood out of my Eberlestock after elk season and now it's squeaky toward the top where the internal frame contacts the pack. I haven't messed with it but I need to try something
