  5. 300wm. Because if you pick the correct bullet weight/type you can do any thing you what with it. Its components are readily available and cheap enought to be able toto practice enough to become proficient. And its easy to eload for as most bullet /powders are accurate. If your thinking about 338the lapua look at the price of ammo and components. That s what made my choice for me ...now i have 2 300 wm

Good guide. Kinda want to do my own upper too ... I'll have to look into how tough that is. they have a guild to assemble the upper aswell. As for fitting parts. I have assembed numerous combinations of mismatch brands and so far evey thing fits perfect.

Ar15. Com has a step by step guild. My advice is build the lower and buy a complete upper As for parts kits if your ising a standard mill spec trigger they are all about the same. Ive had good luck eith dpmss parks kit. I wanted a short fast varmit m4 so i built thia one i and topped it witb a eotech. 512. http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/31226-fox-pro-strikes-againii/

    Coues in 36B

Welcome to deer hunting. You will find most here are extremely knowledgeable in the ways of the whitetail. Normaly after ive scouted an area i zero in on particulat areas that ive seen buck during scouting. I will stay looking at the same ridge all day long. I may move a little to get a different angle(20-30yard make all the diferance). In the areas i hunt the bucks stay in the same small whether its a saddle or a cut or pocket. When they bed they are completely out of sight. But in my area they will only bed for 3-4the hours at a time.. so its important to keep glassing. Its easy to get discouraged and think "any thing out there i would have seen by now" but keep glassing and i cant stress that enough. And if you keep looking when they so get up to move to the cause the shade hasa moved or to nibble or walk few laps around the bush only to burrow back into it. And i mean burrow. Ive seen coues bed under trees in plain view down south but i hunt centeral and ive never glassed a bedded buck. I always find them as they are moving to reposition them selves. And plenty of times while scouting ive watched them nibble alittle and once they lay back down completely lose them , i know they are there but they are completely out of sight.
