i was stationed there for a few years any where off range road to gardner canyon or black tail canyon. 4x4 is a must or a quad. big deer all over just got to find them. talk to the locals. talk to josh at trail boss, im sure he has a few named already.

i uses to use that exact tripod. untill i upgraded. it does the job and its lite. i modifyed a cheap pan head for it.

I went ahead and downloaded shooter. So far I'm impressed. I'm going to do some long range practice this weekend to test it and my new mark 4 . As an added bonus you can email range tables to any one you like.

I have heard of them . I searched but the only one I found is $3. But I would hate to buy one and it be crap. Most apps on the droid are free but not all. I went from a flip phone to this and is amazing I'm writing this post with it right now

if its going to be leupold scope call them they have what fits down to a science

i was thinking dog or coyote but it seems too big to be a coyote and like Amanda said about the snout. i google coyote skull pics and i dont know what they are but like all skull they have holes in different places for different reason and the googled coyotes skull holes look totally different than this skull. if it was a domestic dog i feel bad for the little guy as i was miles from nowhere. with the skull was most of the spine and most of the ribs.

i just picked up a leupold mark 4 LRT 4.5-14x40 with target knobs. im going to sight it in this morning. brunos price 679.00. my plan is to get a kenton ind turret but the target turrets are well marked in moa, easy to adjust and highly repeatable but we ll see if a few hours im a huge vortex fan and the viper rifle scope is crystal clear but 3.1 eye relief does not sound like my kind of fun.

aside from vortex, what ever you choose make the buy at brunos brunos shooting supplys they have so cut throat leupold close out deals and there new pirces cant be beat.

for coyotes and bobcats i would say to start up and down hwy 87. its a long unit with plenty of both.

is any one useing a vx3 4.4x14 40or50 or lr with a kenton ind turret. if so i was wondering how well you like it or would you set up your rig differently know what you know now. also witch type of turret do you have.

from what i can find on the web and talking to the rep at leupold the vx3 4.4x14x40LR has the side focus and a 30mm tube. the mk4 LR/T 4.4x14x40 has side focus 30mm tube and tall turrets and comes standard with the aluma flip up covers witch offsets the cost between the two as i would not have a scope with out covers. im going to call leupold again tomorrow to ask about the diferance in the glass and the warranty. the vx3 is covered under the gold ring warranty but the website says the mk4 "vary depending on use " i would like a little more info about that. but brunos shooting supplys has incredible prices on all leupolds. i call them today the lady on the phone about died when i asked her if they were stolen with prices so low.

i think im torn now between the Mark 4 LR/T 4.5X14X40 with target knobs and the vx3 4.4x14x40 LR. catclaw pointed me toward a local retailer were the mk4 is $80 more but it comes standard with the flip up scope covers. the two are within .9oz of eachother. from looking at the web site the vx3 is optically superior as it has the "index matched lens" but the vx3 with the '' extended twilght lens takes the index matched lens one step further" so confused ill have to call leupold.
