WOW really?
ctafoya replied to azbirdhunter88's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
I have a few different spots for various game. I have pointed people in the general area, but I would never give up my honey holes. There are two people I trust with my spots that wont blab about em. My buddy who got me into hunting and my father in law. That's it. -
Bergers FAILED me horribly
ctafoya replied to joelpresmyk8's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
The deers my wife and I killed a few years ago were clean through. 300 WSM 168 grain at 316 and 336 yards. My oldest shot his bull last year with the same gun at 100 yards. Bullet hit a rib and turned into a claymore. Lungs turned to liquid. Second oldest shot his javelina at 20 yards with his 308 168 nosler Ballistic tips. Looked like a softball went through it. Youngest shot his with my 243 95 grain hornady sst at 50 yards and looked the same as the nosler. Bergers are great, but they do seem like if you don't hit bone they just pass on through. -

The only good cat is a dead cat. I hate those nasty things.

Good. At that price I would have had some explaining to do with the wife.

OK that makes sense now. Thought they were running the place like an amusement park.

My wife and oldest son had this tag last year. Lots of road hunters. My son took a nice first bull in an open meadow just before dark in an area that had about 15 bulls already taken. If the bulls get run off I've seen they do sometimes come back to the same spot, or they will be run into that area from somewhere else. I was up there this weekend scouting with my father-in-law in our spot from last year. Lots of the same bulls. Good luck. Gonna be cold

I don't set cameras. Not cuz I think its unfair, I just don't want to have em stolen or forget where I put em. I usualy never end up back in a spot I scouted anyway. My father in law has 8 cams all over 1 and 27. Has had them up for years with nothing more then an old bungee cord. Never on water and never on a used trail. Has never lost one or had one stolen. Only one was destroyed and that was because of the fire. Always tons of good game on them.

Not enough serious punishment in this country for chit like this. Start executing trash and things will get better.

Someone better tell those critters near the state line to not cross over. They might get shot and ruin all of our game here in AZ.
