Most neighbors can hear the report of a gun, but not a bow being fired.

Looks great! How much does a beast like that weigh on the hoof, or how much meat does it yield?
-
That buck looks fantastic, great job!

Very unusual find the deer photo....

I have to guess, as I am not sure. I think I see a deer's reflection on the left side of the vehicle's rear window. It is facing to the right. -
Sweet job! Tell us more about the nice big bear you saw on your hunt. What color was it and what was it doing?
-
Pull the trigger or fling an arrow! Look at that color phase bear wearing the dark socks! Not a monster, but not one to pass up either. I give it 200-250 pounds, as the average AZ bear is about 150 pounds. Sex is 50-50 guess on this one without the use of a glove!

How far was the shot on your lion? Great job!!

Help needed, lost a good buck today

Probably depends on the game warden you talk to. I had a wounded archery bear a few years ago that G&F told me I could track with a leased dog. I found the bear without the dog and closed the deal. -
I am a teacher. I fight in the trenches daily to correct grammar in both written and oral form. The most common grammatical mistake of the generation beneath me (and maybe us), is the use of the word "mines." ...and it drives me nuts!!! A classic example that I hear multiple times each week, "Hey, give it back! That's mines!" I always interject and correct by stating, "No dear (son), mines are things that blow up when you step on them or places that you dig for obtaining valuable minerals like silver and gold." Next time say, "That pencil is mine, or it belongs to me!" I had to laugh when I read this post! Homonyms, they make the English language interesting!

Dinner with leftovers! Roast from my 2013 blonde.

Looks fantastic! Great job!

Trichinosis sucks. 10 hours in the crock pot definitely gets the internal meat temperature above 165 degrees and kills those parasitic cysts! Bear meat is delicious, but it is never cooked any less than well-done in my home.

Sweet looking buck, congratulations!

Looks great. I am a deer newbie. Is that a 100-inch buck....or what is it approximately plus or minus 10?

Antlers remind me of elk! Superbeast!

Funny, but Chef figured it all out for me and my bear meat! The bears that I have taken usually are a "tad" greasy or marbled with fat compared to other game I cook and have come out juicy when I have actually roasted them in the oven. I have been braising them in the crockpot out of convenience or laziness, and in those cases I do pour off the juices purposely to reduce marinating the bear meat in its own oil. I would guess that if you added beef tallow, it would melt, but would not necessarily penetrate the roast to make it any juicier. It would be fun to cook with deer.

I have been shooting my "new" Destroyer 350 LE for about 10 months now. I average about 80 arrows a week shooting, so 40 weeks x 80 = 3,200 arrows shot. I have had my HHA slider sight set for about six months now with little to no further adjustments. I shot last week and everything was right on. I shot about three days ago after the rain and it was very humid. I could hear my arrows slicing through the wet air! My slider sight markings showed that I was shooting about 8 yards short at each yardage marking from 40-80 yards. Today, I shot again, and everything was right on. Anyone experience this humidity effect? And no, my form did not change and I did no tinkering with my equipment.

I forgot about my own thread....Anyways, I have shot twice now since the humidity and all my shots have been right on! So, the humidity definitely was the culprit.
