I am raising twin girl bear hunters!! Well, one is a bear fanatic already, while the other is leaning towards elk.

No buddy needed. Sorry. My wife began feeling ill last night, so I will likely just stay home with our twins so she can recover and get some rest. Family first.

If I lived closer, I would probably at least sneak up to the quaranteed perimeter, or perhaps a bit beyond if no one was looking and wail on a predator call for a stand or two...or maybe three if it feels good!
-
Crud! That is a mathematically poor ratio of 12:3, 12 sheep losses compared to a gain of three. If that ratio remains unchanged, that reintroduced herd will be gone in no time with its current net growth rate of -9.
-
Looks like an AR machine. How many stands did you call? Any predators come in at all?
-
Nice rug. I think I recall the original post where you tagged that boar while he was going for a swim in the middle of the day! Nice.

I like the yellow/brown look, so I just drop it under one of the fruit trees in my backyard and keep my neighbors' imaginations running wild! After a month or two, I simmer it for 30 minutes with a tablespoon of bleach to sterilize it.

Ditto on Chef. Hope the little one is better. Those are tough times. I too will pack the 1911 instead of the Glock this next weekend. Great job!

Wicked shot placement! Nice pig. How many pigs left in your herd?

I have tried to steer clear of this debacle. However, the rapid loss of one-third of the transplant population must surely be larger than what the G&F anticipated and more than i can idly sit by and keep my tongue restrained. I enjoyed seeing sheep in the area when i attended college at the U of A and hoped to see them again, but not at this cost of sheep mortality. I hope the same mistake is not made twice.

Sweet deer. Makes me want to tag one!

A cement slab water catchment.

Sweet deal! That is how I started hunting 30 years ago. A work friend of my father's asked if he could take me out on an archery javelin hunt. I have been shooting pigs with arrows ever since, and expanded to bear and now elk hunting. It changed my life. Thanks for giving back!!

Would the landowner rather have a hunter retrieve his downed game or deal with the stench-pot of rotting meat that would result from an unclaimed trophy? Was that land occupied or vacant?
-
I'm with Norteno, did you tag a Montana or Idaho wolf?
-
Those all look very appealing to me. Excellent harvests!

That would have been spooky, like a coming up to a "Walking Dead" zombie deer! I think you were probably aiming right into the chest and misjudged the distance, with the deer being closer than you realized, thus sending your arrow higher than anticipated, hitting the deer in the head. Unlucky.

What is that last guy hunting for?
-
That beast looks like an elk!
-
What year model is it?
-
Nice job! It is always good to have a favorite spot. I've been pulling pigs out of the same area for over a decade.

I thought you were joking about ugly, until I saw the pictures! Holy cow!!!
-
Nice javelina! What does it cost to hunt a pig south of the border?
-
Great job! Its refreshing to see a post with a man who can laugh and poke fun at himself! Love your humor and your pig!
