There was a big one for 2 days in 86 or 87 ish , i remenber going to the sledding area at 87 and intersection coming up from Camp Verde .was like 41 inches, i still have the newspaper clipping of it somewhere. i remember i had a springer spaniel and she couldn't get no where the snow was so deep. it snowed on thurs. and friday, i remember going up on sunday.. I have kept alot of clippings from Historic events in the State. I can hand down to my oldest Son................BOB

I got My eastern in Pa. bout 8 years ago and flew it back to N. Dakota when I was there working in oilfied. I froze it in PA. wrapped in a blanket and put it in luggage , it was still frozen in a 2 hour flight . I think you would be ok like that for 5-6 hours easily no cooler need.. We drove Rio's back 12 hour frozen in coolers to phoenix from OKlahoma no problem...........I like local taxi to do my work......................BOB!

Kev, Self made Turkey freak here, About 27 years. I got hooked ,took buddies they all got hooked. Bout 8 of us even went to Oklahoma to get our Rios, I got Eastern in PA. and Goulds here. only need Osceola from Florida for North American Slam. I could never afford them. Had Doctors for 10+ years and now Minox for 15 + years Neither compared to Swaro's or even Vortex as far as clearness. I have 10's for the neck and 15's in the pack. I allways found what anyone else could find. If You only glass 2-3 weeks a year ,not wort it to Me. If your a Guide or outfitter I would expect You to have the best. Minox are not good the last 10 minutes of the day other than that they are fine, I have the older ones. I say get what you can afford. AS far as the Guru's, they are only going to talk about who sponsors them,Can't really blame em................BOB!

Gotta play the game. Just like lottery which i don't play. In 1996 there was 40 or 50 tags unit 1 Early rifle Bull. I had 3 points and drew it. ,,,,Miricle ,it was one of the worst drought years in history, The guides still talk about it. I had a great hunt . Didn't know what I was looking at or for. But if You found water ,You found elk. 2nd nite ,2 bulls fighting on the Rez. 1 came in My meadow. then went back to the Rez. He was fighting another Bull , You could here it but not see it. I made up My mind If He came back out ,He's dead. He must of won the battle. He came back to 35 cows and 5 smaller Bulls But never got the chance to get laid. 80 yards 1 shot Bob ! Done Deal, it can happen. You don't need all them Bogus points Thats why next year I am done with Wyoming. I didn't know how to score back then. But the Bull went a pinch over 330. I was Happy for first Bull. He has been displayed on the wall at Trailhead Outdoors on 35th ave few blocks north of Thomas for 22 years now as My old house in Cave Creek had low ceilings. Someday I will get Him home. I have 2 bulls ,1- 330, 1-331 . Botth big tops and main beams, but short front 4. Play the game and win and Hunt. Play a couple States to up Your odds...........BOB!
