Back when I was in detention in school a million years ago one of my punishments was catching pigeons. Get four t-post, wrap all sides in chicken wire (say 2x4). Dig out a couple of pigeons sized holes at the bottom. Sprinkle the inside liberally with birdseed. They will walk in and not get out.

The 'new' season/quota starts again July 1, so you're good with hunting muleys.

Antelope 19A Archery Hunt looking for a decoy
idgaf replied to andrewmilich's topic in Antelope Hunting
I would do some beta testing with decoys on bucks you do not intend to hunt in that unit. Chances are mature bucks have seen every style of decoy. -
What unit did you get?
-
I think there's one off of Borden ranch road, but I have never been to it. Ironically, my brother just got some promotion with the city and he is doing cost studies now to put one in.
-
Yeah. Its a muddy mess right now.
-
I don't want my daughter to waste the one point she had to get a rifle tag, so my goal is to look at every antelope in the unit and pattern the one that fits the best. I know peak growing season is the next couple of months, but can remember if its mass or length that grows the most. Does anyone know?

Rained out from elk hunting this morning. Checked on the antelope instead. Like the song says. 'I still haven't found what I am looking for'

I saw 6 or 8 bulls by Tinys this morning

3c. The unit i live in. Scouting takes place within an hour of where I sit. Fun fact, I didn't think she had a snowballs chance in phoenix so I didn't put to much attention in the hunt number and I thought i put her in for 2c, where i have been watching a giant buck.

The horns are like fingernails, they don't really stop growing.

I will take out my 800mm lens next time.

5th choice muzzy 33 coues.

Hopefully, Nash gets a rocky tag! I would like to see the heads explode!

Stay away from the gimmicks. Paint suits, decoys, costumes.( they use to work, but are now overplayed) Find the buck you want to hunt and before season, let it see you and watch its escape route. They have a safe space they run to. Do it from varying distances. If you are hunting a place with a lot of hunters, set up in that escape area that they go to. If you don't have time for that go into the cedars and still hunt them.

Me and my brothers will be hunting together.
-
Will do. Once I'm done elk hunting. You're friends were likely throwing giant swim baits for Browns (i would be) which would limit the appeal to only the largest fish.
-
We are. The bass from below must have come from somewhere.
-
We are. That's from the creek.
-
I caught this one and quite a few others several miles below the dang.
-
Eventually I am going to prove a theory i have and that the downstream reservoir, chevlon, has a bunch of unfished for bass. I will hike my inflatable kayak down and go bass fishing. Last time I took my regular kayak down there it nearly killed me

Off of Coleman road. Now Hayhook ranch rd

The voices in my head told me go back to my roots and hunt the desert flats where I grew up in 36c. This is the first time in over 15 years my two brothers and I have put in on the same application.

It sprinkled on me this morning
