Cal ranch

Tonight was fun. No shots fired. Got within 60 yards of two small bulls. Watched one rolling around to satisfy an itch. Much closer to the cows. Spent at least 30 minutes in that range before one of the wary cows kept barking til they came. Then I lost the game of cat and mouse. . 20220616_190814.mp4

Thanks Kevin. I feel alittle like dirty Harry lugging this thing around

Yeah if my weapon of choice wasnt so close range I would be done now. It took me a bit, but I have some patterns now.

It's an improved road that's illegal. A two track or wildcat road you can shoot off of.

Roughly, 300,000 hunting licenses sold. Assuming 15% are hard-core and want an advantage, just for arguments sake.
-
It still leaves a bad taste. 15 x 50,000 = 750 000. Sure they are not doing it for the money.

Sacrificing fairness for money is a hard pill to swallow at least for me and I am in sales.

If you make that retroactive I want my fine money back!

Second week is better in my experience. I've had four or five archery tags.

I did okay Friday. Didn't see another person on the water.

My brother caught this last week at Kennedy Park. 10+ pounds.

It's pretty dry around me. It will have an effect. I did see this monster when I was otc elk hunting Sunday.

I'm sure the percentages are higher than the 1 in 22000 for the special draw that was earlier this year.

It would be through volume. Guys like me who never considered point guard now are. As far as the other thing, it's in the email.
-
"Priority positioning for reissuing of tags" is the only reason I would consider it. It's also an obvious money grab. That's how I got my bison and one of antelope tags.

Yes. I was just there. Wind is stupid right now

Well Richard you look a little like Brian laundrie. I wonder if you are going to be blamed for that next.

I would suggest experienced hunters practice a form of self regulation and not shoot yearlings, but the ten thousand californians would quash that idea. -

I don't think 36c will get out of August for muleys. -
I'm all in on making entire units primitive consecutive years. To reduce the success rate and increase the age class. Personally, it seems hunting these days for many is nothing more than long range target shooting. Primitive seasons would bring actual stalking of game back into the mix.
