Form 5300.38. Since you are renting you will need to provide a copy of the rental agreement as well as property owners information. Takes about a month to hear back from ATF and everything was done over the phone/email. I just got my license moved over to my new shop a couple weeks ago.

The one you are running. The Leupold LRP I think is one of the best scopes made. Light weight, clear, simple to use, and reliable. Its too bad they don't make them any more. The VX5HD is the next step up and an awesome scope that still meets your under 2k criteria.

Which scope? Steiner Predator 4 vs Vortex viper HST
STOMP442 replied to bowhunter-tw's topic in Long Range Shooting
Never Vortex is the correct decision. Especially when it comes to the Viper series. -
I would buy a Tikka T3x lite. Especially if you are just going to shoot factory ammo. Honestly the most accurate little rifles right out of the box nd just as light if not lighter than anything else on the shelf. Spend your extra money on ammo.

Long action standard will be .473 face and work perfect for a .280 build.

Question about Berger Hybrids

I have used the 105 Hybrid out of a 6XC for the last few years with excellent results. 110 Match king also worked awesome. -
Question about 308 win and 6.5 creedmoor
STOMP442 replied to maximus's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Very similar ballistics when comparing heavy for caliber bullets such as 200gr vs 140gr. The .308 will deliver more energy at extended ranges and wind drift will be nearly identical but the Creedmoor will be much flatter shooting. That being said, most hunters using a .308 are using 150-185gr max in which a 140gr 6.5 projectile will provide better wind drift and trajectory and give up very little in the energy department. You have to compare apples to apples and it all depends on what you intend to do with it. A deer shot at 600 yards with either one will never know the difference. The .308 is a proven performer like say a suburban parked in your drive way and the Creedmoor is the new sports car your neighbor just bought. Both will get you to the grocery store and back. -
I ordered a few stickers a month ago, got a confirmation email and haven't seen them. Does it normally take this long or did the mail man decide to pimp his ride with my stuff?

Thanks Amanda. Order #3353 if that helps.

Remington 721 in 257 Roberts with Nikon Buckmaster 6-18x40BDC. Mounted a scope and fired a few rounds of each of the ammo pictured. Just don't have time to mess with it like I would like to. It shot all ammo about 1 moa. This would make a fantastic youth rifle for the hunts coming up. Asking $800 as pictured or $700 no scope. Located in Safford.

Hunting season bump.

Located in Safford. I have for sale a like new pair of Steiner 20x80 Binoculars. The hinge screw on the pair that I have used for the last 10 years broke and Steiner sent me a brand new pair. These have only been used on a couple of scouting trips. Awesome glass that I would put up against anything out there. These are not as heavy as they look and are very rugged and reliable. I will include the pelican box if the buyer wants it. Asking $1300

Thoughts on Leupold VX-3i LRP 6.5-20X50mm scope
STOMP442 replied to VinceDuarte's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Fantastic scope in my opinion. I have mounted and used a ton of them and never a problem. Unless you have a source for one be warned that Leupold is no longer making the LRP. Not sure why, I thought they had a winner with that one. I have since moved up the the VX5HD for most of my builds, I don't have a single complaint about those either. -
Frog Toggs. Cheap, Easy, and disposable. They come in a nice flat package and pack well in a pack. I believe they even come in camo patterns if you didn't want the normal solid colors. Last time I bought a pair I think they were like 12 bucks at Big5.

168gr or 180gr Bergers. Maximize the cartridges potential and shoot a heavy high BC bullet. H1000 will work great with both bullet weights. You can expect velocities in the 2900-3000fps range with the 168s and 28-2900 with the 180s depending on what your barrel likes.

Yes each eye piece focus individually.
-
This is a factory original piece. All I did was give it a good cleaning and wipe it down with some Balistol.
-
Final price drop. $1000 Willing to entertain trades for Tikka rifles or 1911 pistols.

.260 Rem SAAMI .060" FB?
STOMP442 replied to lancetkenyon's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
2900 shouldn't be a problem at all. Lance you can always get a uni-throater and throat your own to your desired specs if using a standard reamer. -
