They said I could be anything I want. As long as I am a man of my word, I'm okay with it. -

You sonofabich. In the nicest way of course. -
My user name is a bit of self deprecating humor. No one has ever called me that to my face for some weird reason though.

My lady asked what I wanted to do for my birthday a few years back and I told her I wanted to go to Prescott to pick up in person a custom pistol I had ordered from Suarez International. I asked them where to go for dinner and they hands down recommended The Colt. It's a good thing we (she) planned ahead and got the birthday seggs done before dinner. That's all I'm saying.

Was the rifle in question built or purchased complete or complete upper or lower? Not much to check with the lower except the trigger/hammer. As others have suggested, it may be under gassed because of poor gas block alignment. It may also be over gassed so much that the bolt is bouncing. What length gas system does it run? Is the gas block pinned or set screw? Are the set screws dimpled if not pinned? What recoil system does the gun have( carbine/rifle/fixed/ adjustable), do you happen to know the weight of the buffer? I found the first one I built to be pretty harsh on recoil but still function properly with a mid length gas and carbine buffer system. I changed the buffer system to A5 configuration and added 3 ounces to the buffer and a braided spring and she is smooth now. A carbine gas/carbine buffer combo REQUIRES an adjustable gas block IMHO. I built mine with an adjustable gas block, got the gas dialed in to lock back on empty and I haven't changed it since. Even monkeying with the recoil system afterwards has not required any adjustment to gas.

Lots of fun to shoot but not fun to shoot lots. I'm going to take an elk with this some day, I promise.

Sounds like the "do not reply" crowd was right. That is extremely odd that she has kept the phone alive and every once in a while tries to send you on that guilt trip to accompany her.

Do you know what year the 870M was manufactured?

I used to watch them hauled out of the rail yard by the truckload. They were attracted to grain on the ground from leaky rail cars. Guys would lay a net down about 50 yards long and when the ground was covered with birds they would fire the net with some kind of launchers that covered them probably 50 yards wide, then scoop them into cages and throw them on a flatbed semi. Never learned where they took them. Some sneaky and a casting net might get you a few bucks. Water treatment plants are a good place to find them too because uuuuuh, well..... corn.

Funny how folks think "they" can't shift the goal post at will by now.

Just sold a Howa mini action 300blk to a friend last week. I'm telling you this because, for the money, its the best shooting and lightest one you can get.

I love my ESEE-3 but I have Sasquatch hands and would rather have a 4. Would you consider any trades? Ammo or components, AR-15 parts

I have heard similar but never had the patience to experience the 1-2 year wait thing. I never order anything from them that I want in a hurry. They did short me an item in an order once and I was sure I would get the run around when it was taking a week to answer emails but they were cool in taking my word that the box was in perfect condition but I was short a quantity of one item. They sent the missing item promptly. I agree that "in stock" should mean "in stock" and they miss out on a lot of my business for the fact that their interpretation is a little different but they wouldn't still be in business if they simply charged and didn't deliver.

Fired less than 50 rounds. I bought it new as an assembled upper with the assurance that the receiver is Aero Precision but I do not know the name of the barrel manufacturer. 20" fluted, stainless barrel with rifle length gas system, 15" Keymod free float hand gaurd. I added the BCG from AIM Surplus and a mil spec charging handle, sighted it in and put it in the safe years ago. Function was perfect with ASC and Alexander mags and accuracy was great with the Hornady ammo. Pretty good with the Wolf ammo too, never tried the PPU. Including the ammo(boxes are full), brass, and magazines pictured, All of the Alexander mags are new, never used. The Amend 2 mag is free because it suuuuucks but is supposed to have a warranty. Call them or throw it in the trash. Sold
