Congratulations to Isaac. I'm sure he is exited.

Hey guys, I was lucky enough to draw a 32 December tag this year. I've hunted the flats before with my son for pigs but this will be my first coues hunt in there. Before the e-scout ninjas come on here nunchucking me to death, I'm not looking for anybody's honey hole - just trying to get an idea what roads are open/closed in the on the NE portion of the Galiuros - particularly from Deer Creek down to Paddy's Canyon and that general area. Also, I'm interested in the Muleshoe/Pride ranch areas based on the G&F info. I'll be looking at a base-camp with serious hike-in spike camp hunts so I'm definately planning to get off the roads, just need to get an idea where to access the unit to get started with my scouting. Thanks in advance, Jason

Wow - that thing is HUGE. Congrats to the hunter - sounds like a lot of hard work went into that one. GREAT JOB!

RR is right on the money as usual. I have 2 savages with this mounting setup, and it's the only one I've found that works.

I had a pair of Cabela's Mountain Hunters that lasted through years of heavy use. Finally the soles wore out but the uppers are still good. I just replaced them with a pair of Perfekt hunters (Meindl) that are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. They changed the Mountain Hunters and they just didn't feel as good. Look at Cabela's cobranded Euro boots - I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Great bull, Josh! Congrats!

I've been using the Browning FDT for years, and if I lost it today I'd order another one tomorrow. It folds up, has a gut hook a saw and a blade that takes an edge easily and stays sharp longer than most.

I think I can verify it, but first I need to come out to where the live picture was taken. -

I hope the parents are talking with a lawyer today. I would make the school prove the nature and specific target of the "threat", and if they failed to do so, they could pay for the boy's college. -
Just wanted to let the folks on here know I had a great experience with Doug from Camera Land. My wife was placing an order online but due to a minor glitch in the site the order could not be completed. When she called to place the order she explained what happened and Doug went way above and beyond to "remedy the situation" although it was not a big problem to begin with. I just wanted to say thanks to Doug and give the folks here a heads-up that he is great to do business with. If you are buying any optics, give him a shot.

I've had really bad luck with the wally-world moultries. The sensor seems to work fine in test mode, but once I set the camera up it takes something REALLY close to trigger the first shot - if in 3 shot mode the other two will trigger out to 90 feed or so. I made one of the Pixcontroller home-brew cameras and it works really well. I plan on doing another soon. I use the Olympus D360 camera setup so I can use the RS-232 rather than opening up the camera and soldering the connections. Good luck, It's a LOT of fun.

Hey, thanks Gino! The .270 is still in the box, so I'll be shooting the 25-06 or .300 WSM. I'll fire ya a PM a little later on. Jason -

32 Dec. Time to learn some new country! -
Yeah - count me in on the confusion also about tresspassing on leased grazing land. Just because he has grazing rights does not make it his land or anyone else trespassers - right???

Check out this smile!

Danners or the Cabela's/Meindl cobrands. Both perform very well.

Hey Chris, tried to send you a PM but your inbox is full - time for a little house cleaning? Yes, I've shot the gun - it has been my primary coues rifle for quite a while now and I've taken a couple of bucks with it (Photos in link below). http://www.coueswhitetail.com/az_rifle_hun...es_rifle_43.htm When I say it's a good shooter, I've always found it to hit where it is supposed to if I do my job (good form, breathing, etc). As for the test targets from the factory, they range from an amazing .348" to a not-so-amazing 1.330". I don't have any specific measurements of 3 shot groups at 100 yards that I've recorded so I don't really have an answer to that part of your question.

I have a Weatherby Super Big Game Master chambered in .300 Wby Mag with the factory installed accubrake. Good shooter with factory test targets. I'm throwing in brass and dies as well. Retails for around 1700-1800 and wholesales around $1370 without accubrake. Asking $950. PM or email me at jason.jones@sage.com for questions, additional photos, etc. I am located in Lakeside.

Great Job! Way to stay after them!

That's pretty strange. Most of the closed wilderness areas I've encountered specifically state that they are closed to "Motorized" travel, not "Mechanical". I wonder what areas in AZ are closed to bikes without being explicitly marked as such.
