Did this guy myself. Just left it freezer for a year or so and then wrapped the velvet and boiled and cleaned it and it came out great.

This post has me dreaming of a giant velvet mule deer for sure!

Range finder won’t hit out past 100 yards pretty much. I am second owner of them and I got the warranty card.who has delt with them with fixes? Pretty easy now days? I had read a while back that they were difficult with the warranty!

thanks guys it was a great hunt lots of deer all over the place. Bucks chasing does in every canyon.I realized that I need to spend Some more time looking at mule deer because they all looked like big deer running around.

Ok guys i just drew 12aw late hunt and really did not expect it. Was expecting a bonus point but sense its a lottery i went for it.Never been in unit. My pride says no guide but with the tag it is telling me guide.what do you guys think? Should i give it a go on my own? I am a realist and i know i will maybe get one or two trips up there thats it with work and two babies. Is that enough time to give me a starting point or should i not waist the tag and hire a guide?money is an issue as i dont have any lol. But i can make it work if i need to i guess

Plus i have looked at maps non stop sense i drew tag.

So been going crazy with me knowing i drew this tag. Spent two days up there already and got some good driving in and pretty much drove the whole unit. Not every road but drove unit from top to bottom and west and east. Other than learning the unit a bit what else do you guys recommend for the late hunt

12aw late first choice 3a3c second choice nothing else. both only had 2 points plus loyalty and hunters ed points.put in for these hunts expecting to get another bonus point and archery hunt coues deer like i do but got a hit on the card and now cant stop thinking about what we drew!

Ya thats what my little bit of pride is telling me is to go without and it will be that much better if it happens
