  19. "Some of you call this a “cover up”. We were telling our supervisor and other officers during the entire incident, who all agreed in how we were resolving the unplanned circumstances. No one was covering anything. I have told lots of people in the public about this. " Assuming this was toward my question? I agree, you stated you told your supervisor and was forthcoming about the mistakes that was made by yourself handing over your elk tag to another AZGFD employees so they could use your tag to finish hunting a wounded elk that was shot by you, since you had other obligations to attend too . God know's we all make mistakes daily, and need grace! But, AZGFD as a whole organization made many mistakes with the appearance to make it all go away, "cover up"? I think if AZGFD would've done the right thing and would have issued the proper citations, when these mistake occurred. We as the hunting public would have no issues and be in complete support of these rules for carrying another person's tags, shooting at, tagging and retrieving someone elses game. For me, and having being questioned and given a warning in the past by an AZGFD officer about carrying my son "10 years old at the time" tag within my backpack during his youth hunt. Gives me a little heartburn, knowing I could've very easily been given a ticket and possibly lost of hunting rights due to having possession of my sons tag, even though he was next to me at all times. The officer at the time was very respectful, and used it more as a teaching and information lesson. Which he did state it tough for a youngster to maintain it and not lose it. As we joked, they are always wanting to look at things over and over until they lose it. :} Mr. Wagner, I do commend you for allowing us to hear your side, Thank you! I also agree with you there are two separate issues at hand. Know one should be treated within their workplace, as your supervision treated you during this mistake. And they were held liable by the court, as they should of been. Thanks, Mike

    Antelope Mount at my Taxidermist!

Awesome lope!!! and a great mount!
  21. Some great points of view, but, My concerns, is how was no hunting rights lost? I have seen so many times, guys catching one to many fish, shooting an extra dove over their limit. Almost every time they receive max 5 year suspension of hunting and fishing rights. I am also a little confused, how Mr. Wagner, thought it was ok to give his tag to another individual? Even though he left his hunt unit and returned home without “knowing if the animal was alive or dead.” I was told by a wildlife manager, and also during my kids hunter safety training. We cannot sign the transfer tag until the animal was properly tagged, and all edible meat was removed from the field by the tag holder. My question is why was this covered up? Why was each individual NOT issued citations? Clearly, laws and rules were broken by AZGFD employees that enforce this requirement daily as a normal part of their job duties. Mike
