WTT My Vortex Razor 10x42 (non-hd) for Viper 10x42 HD
verdehunter replied to BowhunterAZ's topic in Classified Ads
I have a brand new pair of Viper 10x42 HD I am going to sell. In fact, I am selling them to get the Razor HD. If you can't find anybody to trade you and you are interested in a cash purchase on these vipers let me know. -
Those forest rules are nothing new. They seem to be selectively enforcing them more now though.

Would you sell the motor seperately?

Made a trip up there and ran into one of the ranchers. NO I didn't have an ATV with me. The signs weren't there. Asked him about it and he said they thought about letting ATVs back on the ranch. Whether they did or not I don't know, but when I was there that was the plan. But yep, I can't read........

Diamondbacks instead of vipers? What do you want to pay for a Nomad? I have one of those too -

What kind of binos? I have some vipers I am selling. 10x42 $375 -
My wife has had that tag 3 out of the last 4 years. It can be a hard hunt. There are some good deer, just hard to find. You will see a lot of does and some small bucks. I'd hunt the lower areas.

A lot of tanks are still dry.

Don't get caugt up in the camo hype. Sure it looks good, but camo was invented to keep people from seeing people. The animals will not know if you're wearing it or not. It is all about wind and movement, rather than what pattern your shirt is.

Would he sell the motor by itself?

The closures are the roads that are NOT on that map. Compare that one to a regular forest map and you'll see how many roads have been removed.
-
Why not call them directly and ask. They'll be able to tell you better than anybody.

Any reports from 6A?

They allowed ATVs this past year on the Boquillas. But the unit is huge. Be careful if you take an ATV, you could very easily come in one side of the unit and out the other and it is a looong ways back. I'd scout out of a vehicle you can drive down the highway. It'll let you cover more area.

I wasn't actually referring to any specific statute, was just saying to double check the statutes to be sure it wasn't mentioned in those. Not every law is listed in the regulations. There may or may not be a statute about it, which it sounds like there isn't.
-
Just because it isn't in the regs doesn't mean it is legal. You would need to look at ARS too....

This hunt is becoming more and more difficult, thanks to G&F opportunity. It's getting harder to find as many elk than it was 3-4 years ago. There are at least 4 elk hunts before the late bull hunt, and deer as well. The elk will probably be scattered throughout the unit. They usually are on the late hunt. The biggest bulls will be in the thickest areas. They can be found, but it will take hard work and luck to do it. Be sure to check the areas in the far north part of the unit. You wont think elk would live in the wide open areas like that, but they do. Some big bulls hang out miles from trees in there.
