Not meaning to hijack the thread, but any experiences out there with the savage lightweight in 6.5x284? Was really thinking about a lightweight backpacking rig with some longer range type capabilities, but it seems like a 20" barrel is questionable for 700 yards or less? Just wondering if anyone has used that rifle? Thanks.

Not sure what you mean. I didn't send an email, just a PM and there were no links in it.

I'll have to look around but I bought a 9mm luger that included dies and hundreds of bullets, but I don't reload. If I can find them I will post again and I would take the normal price for them. They may be in storage though so not sure if I will be able to locate them.

Nice! I saw 11 toms together yesterday and 10 hens feeding alone a couple days before. Guess it won't be long for that to change then. Good luck on your hunt.

Ask him if he is interested in a brand new in box Bushnell rangefinder (any of their models) as trade or partial trade? I am owed one but want the Leica.

Sorry the hunt didn't go as you had hoped. The northern range units should only be hunted by those with lots of time and experience with that unit and how to hunt coues deer there. The southern units are very different and a better bet if you don't have the time, and I mean more than a weekend trip or 2. I hear this every year in the 6A, 6B, 8, 21 type units. The populations are smaller and are in little areas, so you can spend days of looking in the wrong spot. I know 6A can produce some of the best bucks each year, but it is a really tough task. Try the units in the southern half of the state and I bet you will have better luck. Keep your head up, at least you got to go hunting!

Hello. I need a couple things done to a few rifles and need someone with experience and a good reputation. I have a buddy who had some things done by a gunsmith that really messed up the accuracy of his rifle. Anyways, willing to send them off but someone in the northern half of AZ, say Phoenix to Flagstaff would be really ideal. Need a stock changed, trigger work and muzzle break installed. Thanks ahead for the help.

Selling a Panasonic GS35 video camera. Comes with all the original box contents (cd, computer and tv connections, remote & charger) as well as 3 mini DV tapes, Pinnacle video editing software and an extended battery. Everything is in great working order. The camcorder has some blemishes but everything is very minor and the lens has none. This is a great camera for the outdoors. It is very compact and easy to stuff in a fanny pack. It has a 30x optical zoom so you can get good close ups on wildlife. The extra battery has several hours of life, so you can take this on a hunt and take video without worrying about the battery running out. $150. I am selling because I need cash. I can ship for actual costs, probably less than $10.

Shot a guys UL in 257 WM. The rifle itself was extremely nice. My complaint about it was it wasn't super accurate, although decent. My Vanguard shot much better than it. He didn't take good care of it though and might have done something. That has been the only Weatherby rifle I saw that wouldn't do 1.5" at 100 yards atleast.
