  1. WWGD? What would Gramps do.... I have a few old rifles from my grandfather. He always said either hunt with my rifles or give them to someone that will. I have a .17 Remington Model 700 that he bought in the early 80's and he did a bunch of carving and scroll work to the original wood stock. I was always too nervous to take it in the field cause I didn't want to scratch the stock. On that gun a bought a stock a swapped it out so I can coyote hunt with it. I will always keep the nice wood stock but I just feel better hunting with the synthetic stock that I don't mind scuffing up. I also have a 7mag he had custom built in the 70's that I chose to change the scope out to a modern scope that I was more confident in hunting with. Bottom line for me, don't get hung up on preserving it, go hunt with it. If it needs a scope, put one on it. If Gramps always talked about refinishing it, then do it. I wouldn't do much machine work unless it is necessary to get it safe and shooting good, when I went to a modern scope,42mm, I had to get new rings.

    I am Tired!!!

I was camped off Schnebly Hill road and couple weekends ago and the camp site was an absolute disaster when we got there. 2 30 gallon garbage sacks later.... Our friends asked why I would cleans up someone else's trash and I just said, hunters get blamed for the mess and I couldn't just sit in camp and look at the garbage. It's very frustrating to see because you know the jerks that do this are teaching young kids to be jerks too. Bah!!!!

Do you really need a truck to hunt...

I've been hunting out of SUV's for years. Started with a 83 k5 blazer, had em all. Toyotas gm's.... I've had 3/4 ton Chevys 1/2 ton ford trucks and my most recent truck was a 2012 Tacoma. I prefer an suv over a truck cause it keeps my gear out of the elements and provides a good sleeping area on a quick trip when you don't want to setup a tent. It also keeps my dog cool in the summer when going on a scouting trip. I don't pull big trailers so SUVs are fine for me. My camper is 16' and my utility trailer is 10'. If you are serious about hunting and spend at least 5-10 weekends a year in the hills then get a 4x4. If you go less then 5 times a year then 2wd will probly suit you fine. I have never owned a 2wd so I have no experience off road with them. I do have a buddy that is extremely cheap and bought a 2wd dodge to save money and he is a pain in the butt to hunt with cause can't make it to many of our spots and if it gets wet out he's toast. We have to plan around his 2wd, don't be this guy if the budget allows. My biggest piece of advice is take care of your rig, do lots of preventative maintenance and if you can't afford the 4x4 now then upgrade later and if you take care of your stuff it sells for more when it's time to upgrade. I would recommend you get an suv on a truck frame. Something like a Tahoe or Yukon, sequoia or 4Runner(not truck frame but they are tuff). Do you need a truck no, does a truck allow for some conveniences and extra towing and cargo space, yep. The side by side behind the truck or suv is a good option but a good side by side can be as much or more then a good used suv.

    Lasik eye surgery - $1400

I had my Lasik Surgery done last year at Dr. Schwartz in Scottsdale. It was one of the best things I have ever done.... So, as a wonderful husband I bought my wife the exact same surgery at a fundraiser. I think the certificate is worth $4400. It turns out, after she did her consultation that she is not a good candidate for the surgery. Now I'm stuck with a Lasik package I can't use. If someone is interested in using it let me know. I just want to get my money back out of it. It needs to be used by the end of 2016. My wife spoke with Schwartz's office and they are good with us letting someone else use it. Thought I'd check with the CWT family before I put it on FB or CL. I would even consider a trade of similar value. PS - I need a new motor for my 1999 gmc yukon Call or text me Andy 602-881-0610
  14. Any body have a good gm mechanic to do an engine swap at a reasonable price? Also, incase I do the engine swap myself anybody got a engine builder they'd recommend? One last more detailed thing- thinking about going from 350 to 383, anyone with experience with this? Thanks....

Blew the motor in 1999 Yukon need advice

What happened to your engine? Was headed up the I17 pulling my airstream camper which weighs about 2800lbs. Started to lose power, then oil pressure dropped, then temp started to climb. Never did completely lose pressure but wasn't willing to pull over with the wife and kids in the car. So I kept my foot in it till we got to an exit which we couldn't even get all the way up the off ramp before she lost all power. It started to knock at the end and now she won't even turn over. Got water in the oil.....probly lost a head gasket, these are famous for that. I'll know more once I have a chance to pull it apart or find someone to do it. Looks like I can get a gm crate motor for $2,000 which has a warranty. I might go that direction.

    Funeral song

I asked my wife to have me strapped to a tree in the Big Horn Mountains of WY, pour honey and bbq sauce on my head, put the fox pro on wounded rabbit and put a cold one in my hand. Apparently this is frowned on. She said No. Vince Gill - Go Rest High on that Mountain - is a great choice. Followed by Confederate Railroad - Trashy Women

    12x50 Swaros with Stud $2050

In good condition, practically new. Bought mid year 2015 from EuroOptic.com. I do have the case the box and papers. Outdoorsmans stud already installed. The warranty card has not been sent in. lenses are great and the focus wheel is smooth, no dirt or grime. Funding a new project, I would consider a pair of an old 15 Swaros plus at least $700 cash or a pair of Kaibabs plus $1300 cash. Or $2050 cash Call text or pm Andy 602-881-0610
