So true, after the Sunday morning hunt, my son suggested I find a call that I can be more consistent with. He said, " Dad, you don't sound like the actually hens, maybe you should try a box call" He had the nerve to tell me this after I called in toms on two separate setups... No dead big for us but we had a blast.

We had a bird going this morning. I was quickly reminded how bad I am at turkey hunting. First time Jackson has been close to a gobbler, he’s hooked.

Practically brand new. Bought for my son but it turns out he is right eye dominant. Probly only has 15 arrows through it. Was over $200 new. Just want it to go to a kid that will shoot it. Must pick up at 83rd and Happy Valley. Andy 602-881-0610

Awesome, my son Jackson had the off range tag last year. Fun hunt. We hunted in June, it was hot, March will be much better.

Used on lots of hunts. This was my go to pack for about 3 or 4 seasons. It has a couple holes in the top of the bag and the bottom of the belt. Has the extra padded shoulder straps and I’ll throw in the original straps if I can find them. All buckles and zippers are operational. L/XL belt and L/X tall frame. Located in NW Peoria. Comes with water bottle holder and magnetic phone pouch. Pack has lots of life left. Kinda sad to let go of an old friend 🥲 Andy 602-881-0610

Savage Ultralite 6.5 Creedmoor. Bought this from another forum member about a year ago. Shoots great. 22” barrel. Well it’s a relatively educated guess actually. Raffles are saturated right now and I don’t think 3 sheep raffle tags will triple the volume of raffle sales. The raffle sheep tag historically generates about $100k-150k less compared to auction tags. Similar results with deer and elk and you get to about $1,000,000 difference in total revenue. If they can sell raffles outside AZ why the heck don’t they give that a try for a year and see how it goes before cutting the auction tags? They are banking on raffle sales and this is literally the worst environment for raffles sales in a decade. I’m actually not against getting rid of auction tags but the current lack of planning and bold assumptions being made by the dept and commission make me very, very skeptical. But hey, I’m just a conservative numbers guy..

Tags fees go into the general account, so they don’t go toward habitat projects. But you knew that already…. They study purple footed guppies with the general fund money from your tag fees. My guess is there will be about a $1,000,000 loss of revenue with this decision for habitat projects per year. Putting this here to look back on in 5-10yrs.

For sheep, elk and deer the raffle tag raises much less money. And…. The raffle can no longer be sold outside of AZ, a recent change that will severely limit raffle sales.

That’s the problem, raffle tags don’t raise nearly as much as the auction tags….. and the commission has no concrete plan to replace the lost revenue.
