I built one for my H3 hummer and never installed it. It's 50" by 72". I'd like to get my money back in materials which was $175. It still needs to be painted. The bottom is expanded metal.

Hey guys n gals, I've got a general question more about theory than anything. I've just recently been bitten by the Coues bug. So here's my question. We were out hunting the "sunburn hunt" this weekend and saw a ton of does every morning and every night but we only saw one small spike, no bucks. I spotted 14 different does just Sunday morning. Spotted them in the open, found some down in the bottom of draws, found a few in some really thick cover. We were glassing what I would say was close to roads but not right next to them. We walked in about 45min in the dark on Sat morning and had the same result, lots of does, no bucks. If you had this same situation what do you do? Stick with same area and keep hoping for a buck, move a couple ridges over? Also, my cousin has the same unit but for December. So with that in mind do we stick to the area where we know the does are and hope for a buck or do we move to the next spot? Thanks all any input/theory is apprecaited. I got to use my 12x50 swaros this weekend for the first time and they are great but I'm fearfull they are tuned to only find does. Thinking about sending them in for a pair that will find big bucks.

Thanks for the input, I appreciate it. -
I would do a little research and have an extra set of bearings for the hubs. Probly run you $20.00 but with an older trailer you don't know when they were changed last. Auto Safety House is a good source for this kind of thing. Make sure you repack the wheel bearings before you take it too far.

One Day Hunt = My Personal Best
twigsnapper replied to IHunt2live's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Great Deer!!!!! Next time please make it sound much tougher because I hunted for 3 days and didn't see a buck. -
Average Joe: I think it's all of our responsibility to speak up when someone is not being ethical. I personally shot two elk this year. The 1st was a 50yd shot broadside and I hit him right in the shoulder. Sounded like I hit brick wall. I was sick.. A couple days later I shot a bull at 30yds and he was perfectly broadside. Shot looked great but I tracked him for a mile and couldn't turn him up. I still had 2 days left to hunt, my buddies encourage me to keep hunting but I was done and left my bow in the case for the rest of the hunt while still helping my Dad. I shot at least 7 3d shoots this year and was well prepared to make both the 50 and 30 yard shots. We had 4 tags in camp and I know for a fact I had taken twice as many shots this summer as the other hunters. It's tough to have that conversation or even bring it up to someone but you should speak up. You might say something like "hey bud I think it might be best for you and the deer/elk/pig population to hang it up this year and come back next year with some more practice under your belt." or "There's always next year and just think how sick you will be if you wound another one."
-
It's always about the money. Without our tag funds they(AZGFD) don't exist. We need to support AZGFD whenever we can. Although sometimes we question their tactics they do have our interests in mind. I wish you all cared as much about the "Jaguar land grab" as much as the "AZSFW tag grab". The Jaguar situation threatens far more tags then the AZSFW ever thought of!!!!!!! Be critical but please support the AZGFD.

Just curious, did you buy different wheels so you could go to a bigger tire? I have an 08 too.

The biggest difference for me is the full field of view when I have my eye glasses on with the EL's. My eyes are really bad and I have to use my eye glasses, the 15's won't focus at long distances for me without my glasses on. I haven't had a chance to take out to new EL's. I'm headed out on my hunt next weekend, I'll report back my findings, hopefully a nice buck.
