OG Big eyes right there. I remember seeing Greg Krogh glassing bulls from 5 miles with a pair of these when I was 18. Blew my mind and changed how I thought about hunting.

About as pretty of a buck as you could ask for. Congrats! Ugly hat tho 😉
-
Grim for sure. Not sure what’s dark about it. With 150 tags available and 50k people applying, the math ain’t so good for any of us.
-
Statistically, most of them will.

Bragging about how many rams you have killed is the equivalent of bragging about golf courses you have played at. Just an old rich dude trying to flex about being old and rich. When you do draw that rocky tag please bring your friend with the walking sticks. Please make a video. Please kill a giant. And be sure to sell it to all of Randy’s loyal Midwest subscribers and remind them to send their donations every May. In the mean time they can keep chasing quail and eating jackrabbits. Then you can slap each other on the back and rub each other in the front while you pretend it’s all for conservation. No hair off my back.

Wish you all the luck in the world. I hope you draw your tag and get to spend 10 days on brokeback mountain with your buddy Randy.

Don’t pay this guy any mind. He’s a Randy Newberg cling-on, just here to troll the locals and pimp out our wildlife like his homie.
-
Enjoy. Next year it looks like they intend to get increase tags from 150 up to 210. Could start feeling real crowded next year. I don’t suspect it will hold the age class for long at that clip

@jdown was super generous to refuse payment from my son when he picked these up. Not at all expected, but appreciated by a dad who is always putting kids in boots.

A 10 year old kid who gets excited about their first animal and dumps out dad’s pack looking for something. Not realizing until later that when they yard saled dad’s gear they didn’t pick up the envelopes with the rest of their tags that the wind had blown into the bushes. Ask me how I know.

With E tag you are way less likely to forget your tag somewhere.

That is excellent advice for a client. I wouldn’t want a bunch of weekend warriors around messing with my work either. I’m not worried about the folks who are rolling with us. These guys know what they are doing. And even if they didn’t, we aren’t babysitting anyone and I am definitely not telling my kid to kill a ram so some Joe blow can take a picture. Some pretty awesome dudes have raised their hands and I appreciate it. I don’t have a lot of die hard friends and the ones I have work their tails off taking care of their families. So I appreciate anyone who is willing to pitch in. It’s been a cool way to make some friends over the years. Some of my best buddies have come from this site and I value those relationships tremendously.

Bobcats are prone to rabies. I’d leave that sucker be.

On a hunt many years ago we killed two rutty bulls in 3 days. We used my truck to transport both to the cooler. It was early and hot and there were 5 sweaty dudes and two dead elk in and out of that truck over 4 days. Every time that truck got hot you could still smell elk, as long as I owned it.
