My Leopold ultimate slam works great. Shot my goat at 115 and 185. Dots aren't too big.

    Tags came in the mail

I think this portal address stuff is sxrewed up somehow. It seems like when people move their new address somehow isn't making it to the tags, even if the portal is updated with the new address.
  5. These are dang good little rifles. Just worked with a buddy on mine and got the factory trigger down to 2.5 lbs without much effort, stock has pillars and is rigid, does need some sanding up front to remove a pressure point, they have a barrel nut. The one we have is a great little shooter.

Payson area rental for Hunt of a Lifetime recipient

Well if they didn't screw up the dates in this unit I could have loaned you my trailer. Unfortunately they got cute and I will be using it on my elk hunt at the same time. Good luck on the hunt. Should be fun.

    What's he score?

He's sure a pretty buck. Probably upper 70's this year. His height and prongs are good which give him that classic pronghorn look. His mass is a little shy to push him into the upper levels of AZ's bucks.

    Holy trail cams batman!

Have bolt cutters will travel. Bolt cutters old school--battery powered tools being carried now , found a battery pack out in the field away from roads . Makes you wonder..... I use a chordless impact to lag my cams up. Did you find it in 4b? From what I hear a big pry bar is what the friendly neighborhood camera thief favors. Like a cat burglar but with camp instead of all black.

    SOLD please delete

Minolta Classics are a decent bino. My first pair was just like that, they mounted up to a tripod easily and I glassed up hundreds of coues with them. How much? I may want them for my kid.

What's negative? Dude just stayed he saw a lot of them and it surprised him. Didn't say it ruined his day, or he was offended it was wrong or anything of the sort.

    Elk Antler Growth 2017.....

According to who? Rains have been below average this year so unless they just had a magical season nothing should be above average. Problem is who decides what average is? Every year no matter what there's monsters that get killed. According to him. It's his opinion. However, there are people who believe and I don't know whether this is right or wrong, that moisture during the fall and winter prior to the season provide better winter and spring browse. Better browse means that animals have better overall nutrition/health heading into the growing season. Because they don't need summer nutrition to build fat reserves, they have surplus that ends up becoming antler growth. This does make sense as antlers have little to no water content but instead are made up of calcium which is generated by metabolized food not water. Therefore antler growth is more dependent on browse throughout the fat building months than water during the growing season. However drought conditions during the growing season could impact available browse at that time, so maybe it would slow down growth as fat reserves are burned up to supplement antler growth. I don't know what's right and wrong, I am far from a biologist, but I will say that the elk overall look very healthy to me.

    Elk raffle bull

Because if they don't post a score then they don't have to deal with a bunch of ignorant comments about inflated scores blah, blah, blah. It's just a sweet bull and a lucky hunter for everyone to look at.

    Archery Bear/What if...

False. I can tell you from personal experience that if you turn yourself in it's reallyup to the judge on what your punishment is. I once shot at a buck antelope, my arrow deflected off the blind I was sitting in and smacked a fawn that was directly behind the buck. I had no idea it was there as it was completely blocked from view by the buck. Well that fawn was double lung'd and Diego. The spot. I called game and fish and showed the carcass to the WM. When I went to court the judge laughed at the whole thing and fined me $100. Nobody was outto get me. Nobody wanted to prove a point, and I didn't wait until I was caught to apologize or fess up. I know a friend who shot a Muley with a coues tag. He cut the head off and put an archery tag on it despite shooting it with a rifle (December). He was a new hunter and didn't know the difference between the deer, learned the hard way. He got to feeling bad and called azgfd and turned himself in. Paid a modest fine, no loss of privileges and never made that mistake again.

I would say I am one of the top Blake Owens trollers on this site, and I will tell you why. 1. I find it amusing when you get all up in arms trying to defend yourself. 2. It irritates me that you can't ever just say that you stole the dam camera and it was a shitty thing to do and it was wrong. It's always some long winded post like above about how you did it and it was wrong BUT everyone makes mistakes and it wasn't as bad as what Jed or Ned or Ted or some other jack wagon did. 3. Poking fun at the stupid crap we do is what guys do when sitting around a campfire or in a locker room or on a golf course. Anyone remember the dinky antelope I shot by mistake in WY? You think my buddies let me hear about that sometimes? I will give it a rest, as I think the joke is worn out. Maybe it's time to move on. Maybe he will do the same and get over bashing A3 every chance he gets.

Wow, it takes a lot to get Houston to speak out about something like that. See Blake the reason a bunch of people don't put much weight in your apology is because it just doesn't seem to jive with all your mouthing off since. It just seems to me that you are way more concerned with doing or saying anything you can to make A3 look bad as possible. I haven't put hands on any of these bulls so don't have any basis for saying a score is right or wrong. Maybe others without first hand knowledge should do the same.

    Anyone know?

This is the deer that someone claimed to have shot in unit 9. But someone had pics of it eating an ice cream cone out of someone's hand way inside the park like a day or two before. Oh man that thread was epic. Probably got nuked beyond resurrection.
