I will say this, I have a trailer that weighs under $4k dry. I pull it with a half ton, and hate it. If that trailer has any weight to it, do yourself a favor and buy a diesel.

Ok well since 80% of tags go to random applicants, of course you can draw any tag with any amount of points. The OP asked about what he could get with his points. If the question what does 5 PT's get you, the answer is not a lot that 3 doesn't get you.

Everyone always says to go guided on this hunt. Honestly I probably would, but I also have to believe that it's doable DIY. I am sure you could find plenty of information. And if you aren't holding out for a 230" buck, you probably have a decent chance of having the hunt of a lifetime. I think coach did this hunt DIY a few years ago. Maybe it was someone else.

Me too. That movie is painful to watch. Anyone else rooting for that deer more then the hunter and his mouthbreathing flatty wearing buddy? OP- atleast talk to some of the guides about a scouting package. You have the best deer tag in the world, beg steal or borrow some money and get some help on that hunt! Just to put it into perspective if that tag was sold at an auction like Utah does (I'm not saying that's a good idea just using it as an example) the tag would bring $30,000+. You won the lotto by drawing it, make the most of it. seemed alright to me. Is that Chad Rhoton?

Happy birthday, this place is better with you here!

Alright guys we know results are close, maybe even just a few hours away. I created this thread for a couple reasons: 1. To share good news about everyone's upcoming season. 2. To create a historical record that can be easily searched in the CWT archives that will chronicle draw progress. - Draw Deadline: 6/13 - First Card Hits: 7/7 - Final Card Hits: 7/13 - Draw Progress Updated to Preparing Results: 7/14 - Results Posted 7/17 11:00 AM I for one think we will have results by noon tomorrow. When they post, come tell us whatcha got.

Get some black camo.

3a3c bonus pass is like 8 or 9. Early kaibab is more. I think all the December Muley hunts are in the range of 9+. You are sort of in no mans land. December coues hunts typically start at about 6 points for the bonus pass.

Get a side by side, Glass Picketpost Mountain. The end.

That's some phenomenal fuel range, wow.

I was hoping this was announcing an East Valley location.

I'll go thirds if it doesn't work out.

Over 50 years of application denial and finally getting to go!

80 yo and he is going with the bow. Stud. -
Man some good thoughts and perspectives on this. It's a complicated question. Regardless there are a bunch of dudes on this sight who helped with the 37b tagholder last year.

November whitetail for me

doesn't help for sheep either. My brother got tag 1. One choice had 1 tag and one choice had 2 tags. Although it did tell him his deer hunt. Got tag 85 and one choice had 100 tags and the other had 75. Rifle hunting 3C again huh? Lucky dog.

I really don't think this is a common sense issue, the storm was 8 miles away, and down in that canyon they probably couldn't even see the clouds. Early warning may have prevented this.
-
Well I can eliminate my first two choices. I will be hunting coues this year with a rifle for the first time in 3 years.

Elk results posted at approximately 12:30.

I would set the alarm for like 1, 2, 3 AM and still not be able to get through. The 1 900 number was real I remember calling it and then calling my dad to tell him I had drawn elk deer and turkey. His response was "What did I get?" I had no idea because I didn't bother to check his results.
-
Had to call a 1 900 number and you could get instant access instead of dialing over and over.

Two sisters their young children, one of their husbands a grandma and one cousin.

Is it morning yet?

Adam actually owns and uses a bunch of Vortex Optics only Scopes though I think. I bought my son a pair of 10x50 DB's are they are pretty crappy. I did wack a 3x3 in Sonora in January with a borrowed rifle on the way out of a week long hunt. It was on another hunters rifle that I later found out that he fell on it during his hunt. It was off 15" or so at 100 yards. Sorry but in my opinion Vortex is junk. Extremely clear optics though. Well I am sure "Not Adam" who posted this appreciates all the commentary.
