That doesn't prove it's a joke, that proves it does exactly what it's supposed to do. 20% of the tags foto the highest point holders 80% go to some lucky random jokers everyone gets a chance but it rewards those who have been at it a while

So what's everyone's thoughts on SD cards? If you place cams do you lock the SD cards? If you come across a cam with an accessible SD card, doyou look at it?

Last year there were 1,992 applicants for 85 December wt tags in Unit 23. The bonus pass was 9 points. There were 8,015 applicants for 75 tags in 13B and the bonus pass was 17 points. I wasn't hating on anybody just stating the vastly most likely scenario. That's an awesome hunt, thousands of other people wanted the same thing. Like I said, enjoy the hunt. And if you beat those really long odds and drew strip tags, I'll eat my hat and you will get to hunt giant deer. Not sure why that ruffled someone's feathers.

When I have been apart of kills at 500+, the intensity level is different. That killer instinct never really sets in. The fun is in the calculation and the focus on the detail of the shot.

To be clear I made the Jr High comment and it was in reference to your complaint about Russ not inviting everyone to eat at his table.

I also heard this. The one hunter who didn't kill? You guessed it! It's the guy who started this thread!!! I'm guessing that 11 out of the 12 hunters who had this last tag would support Russ and his crew if you took a vote and I know after my hunt all 12 were very appreciative of everything and only 6 of us killed. So far in this thread there have been atleast 4-5 hunters who have ACTUALLY hunted up there that were happy about the way things went and 1 (again the OP who was the only one to not kill on the last hunt) who is pissed about the operation. I'd say that's pretty hard evidence that it's as good of a solution as there is for this hunt. Not pissed yote. just dont believe in one guy operating the whole system. I wanted to start this forum to inform of how the hunt really is. but somehow someway this thing got way off track, guess thats what usually happens on this site. Some how, some way . . . Probably had nothing to do with you pouting about him not inviting your friend to lunch. Regardless, today is a new day. This thread and or dozens like it should be mandatory reading prior to applying. Lots of folks have no idea what they are getting into when they apply for these hunts.

If you show up for your hunt, provide nothing to those who've been before or after you and want to ride the coat tails of someone else's work to fill your tag, then I guess you can call yourself a 'True Hunter', but in my book your just a mooch. Here's some good life advise, bring more than you take away.

There was a thread on here a little bit ago where guys were talking about a Ruger factory setup that guys were having good success with in this round. Pretty sure Trphyhntr jumped someone's case for floating their barrel. Anyway I can't find the thread and am trying to remember the setup guys were using. Gunna buy my kids one for their first coues killa.
