What's with your username anyway? Nobody needs to know about the size of your browns.

Nice to see the Slim Fire hasn't killed them all off.

My .02, dont take marriage advice from NatureBob. Do whatever else you feel like helps. Hope you took something away from your weekend.
-
We also went to Greer with our Venturing/Varsity groups. An awesome experience.
-
Not too early. I have been out every weekend for a month.

The bummer is that many of those hints all happen at the same time, so it makes it difficult to hunt all the best units. Regardless, that's an exciting adventure, keep us posted.

I wonder if the same would be true of does if we hunted them? I have often characterized does as foolish and careless. Maybe that's just because they are not accustomed to perceiving humans as threats here. Anyone have experience with this?

Any tag, probably Unit 45 November. But 11, 54, 67, 69 would all be good as well. Lucky SOB, keep us posted on what he does.

Funding a btx by any chance? That's a lot of gear. -
For the first time I can ever remember I am in for hunts w/o 100% draw. But with a two week elk hunt not sure how much time it will leave for deer hunting. So I swung for the fences.

It doesn't throw you into the NR pool but they are still subject to it and if they are not drawn neither are you. It hurts you, a lot on hunts that are very difficult at all to draw. Way better off on your own.

Only when I had one lined up ahead of time, and only did it twice. Once to go to college, and once to leave for a better gig. What I found is that as long as they pt you enough to live on, then the culture is about 1000x more important than anything else. Don't work at a job you hate, that will suck your soul dry.

That manzanita NEEDS to burn. That is bowhunter heck in there.

That looks vicious.

Hahaha, well I guess there is always that

Is there anything left to burn in 3c

Meaning??Unless someone took my card I haven't posted it. Shared it with a couple buddies is all...I got plenty of other pics if you doubt it's mine. No I dont doubt that at all. I am just saying that bull is gaining some notoriety. Come to think of it the pic I saw might have been at night. But those thirds are pretty distinct. Seems like a bull that we might see a lot of this year.
-
Well I have seen that trail cam pic a few times now.
-
Alright, whose in?
-
That's it: lower cost, favorable dates (if you like heat), lower tag numbers, either species.
-
Thank goodness for eternal families. Prayers for your family and especially your wife. Nice work on the box, want to build me one, hopefully you have some time?!

More good news for 4B. Praying for the safety of all 227 people fighting this.

I haven't seen this link posted anywhere else so thought I would throw it out there. Tomorrow night is a webinar to show the new guidelines for the regs for the next three years. This is the time to influence how the game species are managed as these guidelines set the boundaries by which tag numbers and hunt structures will be established for several years. If you have been complaining about too many tags or low bull:cow ratios this is the time to speak up. GAME AND FISH NEWS June 4, 2017 Reminder: AZGFD's webinar on draft proposed hunt guidelines is Monday Constituents can submit questions, comments online from 6-8 p.m. PHOENIX The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) will host a webinar on draft proposed hunt guidelines for the 2018-19 through 2022-23 hunting seasons from 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 5. Those who join the webinar will be able to send questions, comments or concerns about the draft proposed hunt guidelines to Amber Munig, big game management supervisor, who will open the online discussion with a short presentation. Other department personnel also will be available during the webinar to address input as it relates to specific game management units (GMUs) or regions. At the same time as the webinar, AZGFD will be hosting a series of statewide public meetings where constituents can view the webinar and provide feedback to department personnel. Those locations include: AZGFD (Region III): 5325 N. Stockton Hill Road, Kingman AZGFD (Region IV): 9140 E. 28th St., Yuma AZGFD (Region V): 555 N. Greasewood Road, Tucson AZGFD (Region VI): 7200 E. University Drive, Mesa Two additional meetings where constituents can view a PowerPoint presentation (no webinar), as well as provide input to department personnel, include: 6-8 p.m. Monday: Eagar Town Council Chambers, 22 W. 2nd St., Eagar 6-8 p.m. Wednesday: Payson Public Library (in the Rumsey Park Complex), 328 N. McLane Road, Payson The draft proposed hunt guidelines provide the biological and social parameters used by wildlife biologists to formulate annual hunt recommendations (season structures, season lengths, season dates, permits allocated, etc.). These recommendations result in the annual hunts in which licensed hunters may participate. While hunting opportunity is important, wildlife is held in the public trust; therefore, using science-based principles to shape the guidelines process remains paramount to ensure healthy, sustainable and diverse wildlife populations in perpetuity. The draft proposed hunt guidelines were developed based on public input received earlier this year and can be viewed at https://www.azgfd.com/Hunting/Guidelines/. The department still is seeking feedback on how to best meet the demands of the hunting public, while finding ways to develop new opportunities that help pass along our hunting heritage to future generations.

Pursuit only means chasing with dogs but not harvesting.
