I've always wanted to have a big family camp where everybody has a tag. I guess it's fromhhearing all the stories of family growing up in MT and ID. The oldest son turns 10 next year, perhaps once the kids start hunting we can make it happen one year.

Looking for a resident with 12+ PT's who is interested in teaming up on an elk application/hunt. Have an 07 with 137k on it. Sparplugs aren't that big of a deal. Bad design, pain in the butt yeah but not a deal breaker. Did mine myself, broke the very last one, took 45 minutes to pull. Hardly the end of the world. The hubs are a bad design as well. Vacuum leak can cause them to ruin splines if you don't fix it early. Full replacement on mine cost me $600. Still not the end of the world, especially if you know how to avoid it.

Wow some people seem to be sincerely butt hurt about this thread. Good news, the ortho said that it's borderline surgical and she wants to see how it does with conservative treatment first. The range of motion is already much better than a few days ago. But not supposed to touch the bow for 6 weeks. Looking forward to chasing some big bulls this fall.

It could have been a call center in India. I took a pack into their office last year on my way back from a hunt, they fixed everything and paid their own shipping to get it back to me. Piece of cake. I agree in this case Sportsmans should have taken care of you, but Badlands will fix the pack no doubt.

I separated my shoulder snowboarding. On the left side so it's not my draw shoulder. After I meet with an ortho I will know if it requires surgery. I looked at the crossbow requirements and if not healed I think I would qualify. I would really rather hunt with my bow, but if it's an extended recovery that would be cutting it close, seeing as I don't want to go into the hunt having not touched my bow for 6 months. We will see what happens.

You wouldn't average drawing a tag anymore often than you do now. Regardless of whether points are squared or not does not change the number of available tags and the number of applicants. It would make it less likely that you would ever get lucky and draw out before hitting the bonus pass.

If I can sit a waterhole and have a chance at a 370 bull what does it matter whether I am in a "premier" unit or not? My buddies live in Joe City and have pics of some absolute giant mule deer and bulls in the junipers. I am tired of collecting points. It's time to hunt.
