I am in. Down for a live draft of anyone else is

In my experience when that happens there's usually a note you should read the note and meet up with that guy

I've hunted elk there when we saw more bears than elk over a 1 week span.

I wear my Ride snowboard gloves when it's cold. They work great. Started doing that when I lived in ID and Ut. Don't see why I need anything much else.

I went through 3 shooting sessions and then went ahead and locked in my pins and set my slider. I set all 5 pins 30-70 (I can count how many shots I've had under 30 yds on one hand). It took a while and a few different shooting sessions to get it all set. I then found a pre-printed tape that lined up with my pins and put that on for now Using my bottom pin as the slider. I would like to set this up with a custom tape as described by Bmart described once I have played with it. The way it is set now I only have slider for 60+ as the pins are set with the dial in the highest possible position. I am excited to try it out and see what happens as I begin shooting longer distances. I have never practiced much beyond 60. I will post up more questions as they come up. And of course if you think I have done something wrong let me know.

So I recently replaced my bowstring, and also upgraded my sites but have not installed the sites yet. The sites are black gold ascent verdict 5 pin slider. My question is how many arrows do I need to get through the string before I set the slider? Also, any tips on setting the slider and tape? I can read directions just fine but am wondering if there are any hacks or improvements that you guys who have done this a few times would suggest.

Tough assignment. I have done a few of those and it's always emotional, but have also been some of my favorite experiences ever. More prayers for you.

I'm sorry brother. Prayers for your mom and the rest of your family.

Yeah, that's a good one

Wow! Sure good to see all that tall grass.

5A Hopi can means lot of things since every hunt in that unit has an alotment set aside for Hopi's. And there is often some leftover for each of them. If you are referring to the East and West Sunset Mountain hunt that is a limited opp then that is exactly as they have described. Low numbers of elk, lots of country, and less opportunity than typical AZ elk hunts. There are elk all over the unit just takes some time and effort.

What company do you work for? I work at McCarthy building companies, we are a large GC and do a fair amount of schools.

Just finished up my WY app. Selected a second choice that should be a sure thing. Anyone else headed to the cowboy state to smoke a few prairie goats this year?

I don't know why this thought never occurred to me but I've never seen a bear or sign up there has anybody else?

This is the most confusing thread ever. I don't know whether we are supposed to be measuring bucks or d***'s.

thank you it was an honest question since I have never looked into SCI scoring.Correct me if I'm wrong but where people make the most money on SCI scoring of pronghorn is... if your prongs are high enough on the horns you will get your 3rd circumference below the prong. B&C and P&Y have to have 2 circ below and 2 above... But I'm not 100% sure All three scoring systems call for measurements at the quarter points.

A fear that every mother's son has. Prayers for you and yours my brother.

We went there a few weeks ago and my kids caught sunfish for hours. They loved it.

How fun is that! I have boys that same age and I know that joy. Congrats on some of the best grip and grins I've seen.

Those bases are probably closer to 9" than 7". This buck is a brute and a day one no doubter. Put the smack down on him. The thing about goats is that you still get 4 mass measurements. Just on length and no spread. So mass is by far the best indicator of overall score.
