They cut the tags in 1/2 the following year. 7 tags total and mine was the 2nd biggest! 37.5" left horn and a broomed to 30" right horn with 15.4 bases. Hmmmm if he hadn't broomed 168" which is B&C !!! Eat your Heart out friend! I was tickled to death to harvest him! Here is hoping your still waiting on your sheep tag! Lol! The week after Christmas is what I have always felt was the best part of that hunt. Full on rut probably won't start until after the hunt ends but you will see some activity in December. It's a great hunt and without a lot of tags you can really spread out, although some archery Hunter's will be around. Deer can be found all over, basically if you are over 3000' you are in deer country. I love that unit and the late hunt was also my first coues hunt back to back in 00-01. Enjoy it, I sure did.

I don't know how you guys do it. I have been waiting on a good elk tag for a long time and can't stand it any longer. I hunt deer and javelina every year and antelope whenever I can get a tag. I cannot imagine waiting years and years for a tag.

Archery HQ is my favorite shop on the east side. I seperated my shoulder in college and had to rehab it back into shape. My Physical Therapist had me using theraband doing different exercises to get it back into shape. You can Youtube theraband shoulder exercises and I am sure it will work it back into shape. You can use exercise rubber bands instead of theraband if you don't have a connection to someone who has it.

Yup on what azkiller said about lots of bucks getting killed during other hunts. Probably a good idea not to post pics of the biggest bucks you see. It will be a fun hunt, and getting up there during the other hunts and seeing what is happening is half the fun. Take lots of pictures of bucks and enjoy all the prep. Congrats on a great hunt.

Someone needs to go to bonecollectors house and make sure he's still in there because whoever wrote this couldn't possibly be him.

I have hauled mine in a standard bed Tacoma, short bed Ford Ranger and my F150 supercrew 5.5' bed. All with the tailgate down. The winch sticks out too far for most short beds. In the compact trucks the quad has to go over the wheel wells. I have also built a stand to go under the front wheels that lifts the winch fair lead above the tailgate when I hauled trailers with a quad in the bed.
