I knew that marshmallow puff wasn't going ton last one night. Called it during show they had of all the screening and prep.

Good luck man and keep us posted. We would all love to hear how it turns out. Congrats on the tag, no one here can give you any crap about how many points you had, it's not like you picked yourself.

It's this exactly. We have a slew of corrupt legislatures that could care less about our kids education. 100% corruption and it's all our own faults for voting them in; including my own. Just follow the money. Those who are invested in charter schools profit from ruining public education. Look no further than the ultra right wing reps in Gilbert.
-
The state legislature regularly robs the education pot to find their own programs and then funds education a lesser amount via a desperate bill and then applause themselves for their generosity towards the schools.

Typical AZ uninformed ignorant constituent. That's why the state trust land was deeded to the state over a hundred years ago you idiot. The whole reason it exists to is to fund the states school system. And since you brought it up, I've had a raise every single year for the last 8 years. In fact, since 2008 my income has more than doubled. If yours hasn't changed then maybe the problem is in the mirror and not in the economy. This town is starting to boom again, go get yourself what you need.
-
What are those ways? Again, I said I don't support the prop, but am interested in how others think we should increase school funding. And what crap are you suggesting they cut? Remember state trust land is not intended for your recreation, it's intended to fund schools. We get to use it in the mean time, but the whole point is to sell it at some point. Unless of course we as sportsmen valued it more than some developer. Then we could put our money where our mouth is and pay to use it. You know, since it is designed to provide funding for schools.

Ok I can agree with this. BUT, can we please agree to spend some money on education? I would be fine paying tax that was guaranteed to make it to schools. Unfortunately our lovely state legislature tends to rob the pot intended for education. And hence the problem we now face where the state cannot afford to pay schools the money it OWES them from years of under funding. Money the districts had to SUE to get the state to agree to pay.

AZ draw is special like that lol. Some guy I know has more than double that and didn't draw. Good luck with my tag haha!! You and me both! That's alright, it's how it works. I drew my antelope tag with way less than max and had the hunt of a lifetime. Please be sure to post pics. That's going to be an awesome hunt and I would love to see how it went.

Good riddance. After the way he treated Outdoor Writer I don't care if he ever comes back.

Checkout Eastman's 4x7 scoring guide. It's pretty simple and will help a lot. My best advice is take someone with you who knows goats. Sir Royal kept me from making any mistakes on my hunt 2 yrs ago.

Is this buckhorn 209 compatible? -
Yes, this was my thinking. However with more tags it does leave the window open for someone with a low number to sneak in there in the 1-2 pass.

My AZ antelope hunt (actually my second tag, first successful hunt) was pretty remarkable. Being with my boys on all those scouting trips, the research, practicing with the muzzleloader and then ending up with it in a magazine, I don't think I would trade it for anything. I love hunting elk, but that hunt was perfect.

Congrats, but why do you say more than likely?

Alright I am not going to do all the math cause it would take a while and most people wouldn't read it anyway. But you are wrong. Think of it this way, for the antelope hunt I drew two years ago there were 6 tags and almost 1,000 applicants. So if you excluded 3 years of tag holders from the draw the pool would be 982 applicants instead of 1,000. Statistically not much changed. Ok so I guess I did do a little math but hopefully everyone follows.
