Early Kaibab vs Late desert Muzzleloader vs 3A/C
Flatlander replied to DesertBull's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
No brainer if you are hunting with Koury. Trphyhntr is local and it was no piece of cake for him last year. I wouldn't necessarily assume the pics you've seen from any unit this year to be representative of what you can expect normally, but especially the desert. -
Anybody else have the archery tag and want to join forces for the first couple days? I put in with some buddies but they can't hunt over New Years. I live in Gilbert and will day hunt the lower country Friday and Saturday.

I have 15's, 10's, tripod, rangefinders, etc. not looking to mooch off anybody just like spotting and stalking with a partner better than solo. Beau and I are connecting for first two days. Woody, I'll pm you my #, shoot me a text when you are heading out and I will see if we can get together. Mike- I just remembered I have some canoes I can use. Paddling for pigs sounds like and adventure!!! Let's try to make it happen.

Hey thanks I'll have to go out scouting and look for some Muleys.. How's the pig hunting out here id love to goThere are a lot of pigs throughout the unit. I have the archery tag that starts in Jan. So hopefully I'll find them. I have seen 4 herds in the last week so odds are good. It can be a tough unit to hunt though especially in the flats. Let me know when you go scouting. Maybe we can get together. That's awesome I missed the draw for pig but I'll definitely apply for the next one. I just harvested my first coues this Thanksgiving hunt and I have for sure caught the bug hahah. We should definitely get together and scout I wanna get to know this area. FYI leftover HAM tags available for 37A. -
Lark - you have a 7-08?!?! So does my wife! You guys should shoot together.

Aren't you picking into the Super's? If not, let's hit the trail. Beau, I will text you.

Flatlander replied to Manns520's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Not a lot of Coues in that country. Plenty of pigs, and definitely mule deer, even sheep. Closest I have seen whitetails was In the foothills of the Tortolita's just south of the owl heads. -
Got my tag yesterday
