I for one do not prefer to glass the thick stuff, it can produce a monster, but also zaps your will to stay behind the glass. If I do glass it, it's for short periods of time and not for days on end. Take your pack with you wherever you go, what starts as a quick peak over a ridge often turns into an all day and half the night affair. Keep spare batteries for your head lamp. Hopefully you have a tripod for those new Swaro's. North facing slopes. Always have someone keep their eyes on the buck if you decide to sneak into range. Even if they move just a few yards they can ridiculously difficult to find again and you will start to question yourself. Shoot straight. -
Awesome. That's great.

Nice work. That'll make a poppa proud.

Oh my word. What a giant. Congratulations old timer.

We had very similar results with 300 wsm at 600+ on Saturday. I was disappointed, could not tell entrances from exits, but accuracy was great. Ended up swapping for a 30.06 with accutips mid shot sequence and put him down for good with one high shoulder shot. As pointed out above, that 30.06 was shooting a lot slower than the 300 wsm, and with a better bullet, performed better. -
Congrats. We had a very similar experience in 22n right down to poor performance out of the vld's at 600+

Need help? I'm up here chasing the BullsThey got both out. Thanks guys! It was one of those days you never forget. We were very lucky to be able to fill both tags today, one with a spike (which is exactly what the hunter wanted), and one on a nice 300 class 6x6 (which is exactly what the Hunter wanted). Thanks for the offers of help, I thought we were going to have to beg edge to come save us for a bit there.

yes i do expect them to tell them no.http://www.12news.com/story/news/investigative/2015/05/11/tempe-high-dollar-detective/27145283/ stories like this ^ why would a azgfd be at a football game, to get more money? isnt that our money as tax payers and permit buyers? dont they have enough asu cops? if this was actually a joke about azgfd there because of "bear down" would have been hilarious post of the year. No, that was my money as a ticket holder. The university pays for the officers who come in to help with security. There was additional security because of the national security level being raised after the Paris attacks. AZGFD did not pay these officers to be at the football game and no ASU does not have enough officers.
