That is awesome!!! I just fist pumped like it was my own kid. Congrats to you guys. I can think of nothing more awesome than sharing that experience with your boy. -
I bet he didn't pay for those RMEF address labels either.

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE THAT HEADED OUT TO CHASE ELK !!

I am particularly bitter this year after making a miscalculation on my chances of drawing a tag and adjusting my draw strategy. Thus preventing myself from hitting the bonus pass on my top choice. Instead I am headed up mañana to help a buddy who drew the tag with a lot fewer points. Guess you could put me in that hater club.- 31 replies

Awesome buck! We need more pics. Good thing you did all that long range practice ahead of time, 150 is really reaching out there!!! -
Congratulations on a stud buck

10 sounds good. Can you just give us a paypal? BTW - how many of you guys laughed when I drafted Brady in the SIXTH round!?!? Doesn't seem so stupid now does it?

Shooter was probably a mile away on top of the rim

Hasn't anyone lectured these guys on chuck/don't chuck situations? No quartering chucks, or Texas heart chucks or long range chucking. Just cause it's legal doesn't mean it's ethical, or wait, does it.

The schools just need to coordinate fall break with an actual hunt. Just a wish. I think azgfd has tried this. Lots of the jr tags overlap GPS fall break.

I like to go and listen, bugle from a distance. I don't call me in close unless I am hunting but I like to rip on the bugle and see what answers. Especially if it's in glass able country. Watching elk rut through a spotter is awesome and won't interfere with a thing.

How about a pair of Docter 15x60's

What kind are you looking for? I have a pallet of flat standard weight eagle tiles.

Pretty normal if you are used to Idaho. Get up on a hill or ridge and glass. Cameras are fun and can be useful but be careful where you put them. Shooting sticks always help and packs are a good thing. +1 on you tubing the boneless method.

Very nice accomplishment young man!

You coming over Bo? It's up to you. And whoever asked about paying I think that is why we have to register with draft kings.

Thanks for jumping in Travis. So if it's open for all hunts in all units is there anything preventing a NR from waiting till he has max points and then buying in for just that year? Seems like a guy could game the system.

Not to be too high maintenance but with guys archery deer hunting this weekend could we maybe make that draft one hour later, 9:00 PM on Sat. I know that's late I am just worried about getting back in time.

Its pretty easy math. 1 hunter x $6,000 = $6,000 in outfitter's pocket, he makes $3k, MAYBE on a good day. Or . . . 20 applicants x $350 - $7,000 and if no one draws, there is no cost to the outfitter. It won't take long for this method to pay for itself. His client base went from 5 guys to 500 guys instantly. Good business if you ask me.
