That's a beauty.

Great story! Glad to hear good news for Jared.

This guy knows 10 ok but I don't think he is a premier member. His vote should only count for half.
-
Would someone mind passing this info along to the javelina. They show no respect for my premier status. I am, and apparently ever will be, the self proclaimed worst pig hunter in the state. I will challenge you to an unfilled tag count any time. I think I am even worse at pig hunting than I am shed hunting. Not sure what my membership status is but according to the pigs it should be slap dick.

480 988 0100 - Harrold Plumbing and Service I used to work there, I am no longer in the business and don't have all the tools or I would come running.

That's an ID bull? I don't believe it.
-
West of 89 yes. Also good access on both sides of outer loop road. Some good stuff further north as well off of Williamson valley road.

What date? think I got the same.. oct16th? last year they were still screaming in there...my 10 yr old has this hunt but the non-peaks...gonna be fun We have 2 tags on the Oct 9 non peaks. Did it 2 yrs ago. Lots of fun.

i read on another site a dude has been putting in for 3b archery for 13. show yourself you unlucky SOB If he truly applied all those years and accumulated points. . . Something is wrong. Bonus pass on that hunt is like 8.
-
Was that top bull in a magazine? I feel like I have seen it before. Nice Bulls an welcome to the site, where in the gem state are you from?
-
+1, but going to need a L instead of XL now
-
How many people can say they have accumulated 10 BP applying for archery bull hunts and I have never once applied for 9 or 23. That's some crap luck right there. Sour grapes from me.
-
May the bird of paradise fly up your nose . . .
-
A lot lower. Tens of thousands of unsuccessful applicants. Single digits worth of desirable tags.
-
That probably has a lot to do with all the BP's you accumulated the last few years.
-
I wish all that conspiracy theory BS you talk about was true, cause if it was we wouldn't have to hear about you drawing your 2nd archery bull tag in 3 yrs, you'd be at the top of their blacklist. Congrats to your family.
-
I already told you that. . .
-
I hate you so much. Picked up my 10th BP this year waiting on that dam tag.

So now that I know my better half will be chasing elk this fall I hve to start thinking about what rifle she is going to use. Last time she shot a 700 bdl 25-06 and did fine. Other options this time are to brake my 300, which I have been looking for an excuse to do anyway, use my 270, or pick up something new. I was thinking a 7mm-08 sounded nice as I have boys who will be hunting age soon, maybe a .257 with by but that may be a little much. What have you guys had goo luck with?

Turkey Hunting and Calling Seminar 4/9 6PM at Mesa Sportsman's
Flatlander replied to Little Creek Calls's topic in Turkeys!
Props to you for doing this. it sounds like a great event. I wish I could attend. -
Well it will be more elk than anywhere in the state of ID and the Bulls will be rutting way harder. Parts of UT have a great elk rut like we get here, and I don't know jack about Colorado aside from what I read in Outdoor life as a kid. Have fun, lots of elk in that country.
-
Have you ever guided or been guided on a hunt? Not quite the petting zoo experience you describe. I will never understand the insatiable desire of hubters to criticize and alienate one another.
-
Spending evenings at AHQ the last few weeks I see lots more kids in there shooting target archery than any other demographic. Even their new tech is a target archery guy with no hunting experience.

As much as that info stinks to hear, it's all helpful information towards understanding what my expectatations should be this Fall. I appreciate your input. Its tough being a NR trying to make draw decisions the first time around... Never fully know what to expect until you get a season in the area under your belt, and I'm looking forward to it ! Where are you from? Chances are you'll see more elk during that 5bs hunt than any other hunt you've ever been on. Still lots of elk in there, and it's almost all tall pine country.

Ok, well we got it. AZGFD screwed this up big time.
