3%, 1%, 2%, stick it out another 2-3 years you should have that unit 10 tag. 6% on the elk tag You will be 50/50 on 3A/3C or 27. Unit one is going to be hit or miss with the number of NR applying ahead of you and only a few of the guys with 11 pts drawing, I am putting it around 20%. Another year though should do the trick.

HPO has some great goats. I hope no one felt like I was trying to discount any of their work or bucks. If I was going guided they would definitely be on the shortlist.

Figure out the tag first, then get a guide or find a goat yourself, that's the fun part. You can kill good bucks in most units. Unfortunately 21 doesn't guarantee you much. Good luck, make it a blast! PM me if you want some ideas on units you have a good chance at. And just for kicks and giggles here is my 2014 smoke pole buck, 88 4/8" unofficially. It was a sometimes overlooked unit, probably got more attention last year than it needed.

Well today I will put another pig tag on the wall instead of around a pig. Saw some sweet new country down south but couldn't find one pig to show for it. I have a theory about my curse, I am just not sure how to break it. Anybody know how much the commissioner's tag goes for?

I sent this screen shot to my buddy who I applied with. We have a combined 14 pts. I think I gave him a heart attack, should I let him off the hook and let him know that its a joke?

The applicant pool for those hunts has grown steadily since they were introduced a few years ago. Some of the hunts are easier than others, but for locals with time, they can be a great opportunity. I wouldn't mind doing one, but when I do it will be one with 25 tags not 400 and it won't be in canyon country. Anyway, this time of year is tough, waiting on draw results, tax return and my annual bonus all to come through about the same time. If I draw a tag it will be tough to hang on to any of that $. Keep posting guys, this is the time of year whens dreams are alive . . .
