I'm in. If I was trphyhntr I would have some funny meme to post but I'm not. So words will have to suffice.

7%, 9% 10%, 23% 27 didn't have an early rifle hunt last year so it is tough to say, but judging off unit 1 you could possibly sneak into the bonus pass. Last year in unit 1 only one person with 18 BP did not draw a tag in the bonus pass. Unit 27 is generally slightly better odds than 1 for whatever reason. If you put it as first choice, you could sneak in there. 23 is another story 18 was bonus pass and I don't see that lightening up this year after all the great bulls that came out of that unit on the archery hunt. Outside the bonus pass 17 bonus points gives you 2%. 4B - 21% last year but they reduced the tags so that will go down this year because it takes applicants a year or two to follow the trend by reducing applications. 5A - 13% This unit is in the opposite boat, might be a good opportunity. Last year 4B was the easiest archery bull hunt. They killed a well publicized big bull there this year and tags are reduced. 11M may be a better bet atleast the tag numbers held steady in that unit. 13A or 13B will get you 3%. Either of the 22N late rifle tags are yours, and 22S would be about 27% Unit 10 - Would be about 40%

Soar - 12% and 10% respectively. 1 off the bonus pass in each hunt. Sam 3% in each you are 1 out of the bonus pass. There are several units where you would make the bonus pass including 19A, 3A, 6A, 13AB Casey - Unit 9 early archery bull 4%, 19B Rifle Antelope 1%

The only 3 PAC-12 teams to never make a BCS game? The first two should be easy.

Go check the G&F website. The number of BP it shows right now is what you will have in the draw. And honestly, calling G&F for an answer does not mean you will get the right answer. They are wrong frequently, especially about the draw. The way to really understand it is to read the How the Draw Works document on their website and then do the math to be sure your points and application are applied properly. There are few if any QA procedures or tests included in their process. The only way they know they did something incorrectly is if you tell them.

Hopefully someday Nogales North adds a literacy requirement to their curriculum so Lance can learn to use his context clues to discover what a post is actually about. This post was clearly not about how good our football team is. But since you brought it up, ours is better than yours. I find it frustrating that the UA crowd finds it necessary to belittle and berate ASU any time either school is brought up. The whole point of the post was to point out that we are in the exact same boat during the BCS era. Lance and his minions have short man syndrome so bad they have to turn it into a pi**ing contest.

Oh yeah, it was the team that won 10 games and scored 58 on the pussy cats.

Regardless, how could someone have been sure they were legally hunting without the season being posted prior to the hunt opening. Had I been elk hunting and stopped by azgfd I don't think "it was open last year" would be an acceptable excuse had they decided to discontinue the hunt. Not having the regs out prior to the hunt starting is pretty inexcusable to me.

Try the ag fields north of red rock.

Anyone see the beast that came out of 11m?
-
Yeah, Oregon. Might have to make the drive. It's a long ways, get some sunflower seeds.
-
Cal got snubbed in 05 I believe and ASU got snubbed in 07 after winning 10 games and being co-champs of the PAC 12. Oh well.

Go check it out. Picking up sheds should be a good indicator of what's still roaming the hills.

Congrats! Killing deer with a bow is tough.

Lance, don't Jaguars eat wildcats? Be careful out there. Packer is correct. And actually of 65 AQ teams, 43 made a BCS game at some point during the 15 year BCS era. ASU and UA are right up there with Northwestern, Minnesota, and Vanderbilt. That is seriously depressing. What a sad state of football.

**Lets here your thoughts about new paper tags AND tags being withheld till jan1. :)
Flatlander replied to hoghntr's topic in The Campfire
Selling tags at dept offices only, that's BS and unreasonable. Giving out paper tags to some folks and adhesive to others, who flipping cares. For most of us, a dept office was not a long drive and with a little prior planning could be achieved without major issue. It was inconvenient but I found a day to do it long before New Year's Eve. There was no line. It amazes me how whiney a bunch of supposedly rugged men are. Game and fish is there to conserve wildlife, who cares if my tag is cheesy. -

What difference does it make? For crying out loud if they didn't have tags everyone would have cried. Now they have tags and everyone cries because they have to get a ziplock bag and some tape. They add tags, people cry. They reduce tags people cry. So much crying! -

This is funny. Plenty of states require you to notch your tag and secure it to the animal. It's your responsibility to carry a tie wire or tape to secure it, this is how my pack lost it's zipper strings. Not that big of a deal. If it saves money, props to them for not pissing it down the toilet on stupid specialized printers and paper they have to give every license vendor. I will be sticking mine in a ziplock bag and taping it to the animal to be sure I don't lose it. My goodness people, take 30 minutes and go read Who Moved My Cheese. Change isn't always bad. -
First of all congrats on a great buck. Second, you may want to hit up the guys at Badlands Taxidermy in Holbrook. TC does the best antler staining I have ever seen. I am sure he would have a solution.

There was shrinkage this morning, but none of it was on the ground!

Well here is looking towards a new year with new hopes and dreams. Hope for all of us, hope that: ASU wins 12 games and the Rose Bowl ASU basketball wins 12 basketball games UA loses 12 football games UA loses 12 basketball games Some guys will get their first bow kill, first buck or other first. Some how some, some way someone with 3 or less bonus points will draw a sheep, antelope or early elk tag. I live this time of year, people are starting to think about elk applications and new bag limits are in effect. Anything is possible. Good luck guys and Happy New Year!

It was like 75 degrees. Piggies were all holed up. Didn't even see much sign.

That headset is funny, I couldn't see it last night. May 2014 bring renewed hope for all of us. Good luck on your hunt Redman. Shoot straight.
