The biggest buck I have ever seen was on the big open hills down by Tanque during the late archery hunt. He was a straight typical that was over 190".

I have probably looked at this thread 10+ times. I just can't get over it. That is just the sweetest buck I have ever seen period.

Lope decoy works great. Never tried the Muley but figured it would be hard to drive in the ground anywhere that I hunt. The only hunts it would potentially be useful for are the Dec / Jan ones and only the desert units are open for the late OTC archery.

You can buy a timney for less than that and it's a drop in part. I say you just go buy an old 700 platform with the old trigger and do your own build. Stock $400, Krieger barrel $400, bed/free float $200, trigger work $0, lug and nut $75, bipod $75, muscle brake $250. For a $1,000 savings All you would be missing is the matched action.

I am no expert but have been looking into a 700 build lately and I would think for a similar amount of $ you could build your own and make it what you want. I am a little surprised that they are keeping the x Mark pro trigger, everything I have read has been negative. But if they can get it to a crisp 2.5 then I wouldn't see a problem. I would want to test that piece. The B&C stock is a drop in part that you could order yourself for under $400.
