Havalon is all you need. Carry a couple extra blades just in case but I use the javelin for everything including popping joints.

Thanks for updating but be careful about how much info you post, you could end up incriminating yourself or someone else. As was stated previously its not legal to pick up a bull after the season ends.

5 bulls from 15 tag holders. That's bad. Of those I know who had archery bull tags this year half of them wounded bulls. I was hoping this was not indicative of the total stats but it appears it may not be far off. That's pathetic, we have to get better in this area.

Why on earth would you skin a skunk? I gagged just reading this story.

When I was a kid I accidentally picked up a box of 3-1/2" 12 ga. shells for my dads 3" gun. We (a buddy and I) didn't figure it out until we were in the mountains near Reserve, NM and nowhere close to somewhere we could pick up a different box. We shot the shells anyway (I was 18) and the only issue we had was that they wouldn't eject because they were too long. We had to cut out every round with a leatherman. We shot the entire box that way. Dad still shoots that scatter gun every year and its never had a problem. He still doesn't know that we did that.

My buddy has one in 30-06. It has the smoothest factory trigger I have ever pulled.

It's unfortunate that you feel I was taking a poke at her. I was simply stating that it would be a shame to have those two tags and never pursued filling either. That's it, no more, no less. Nothing personal, nothing vindictive, nothing even critical. Just a bummer.
