Ammo and Shooting Accessories at Sports authority
Flatlander replied to 1worthlessnut's topic in Classified Ads
Still lots of ammo at cooper and baseline. Just picked up 270 Winchester power points for 14.94 a box. Still had more 270 338 300 wsm and plenty of others left -
They have them on the piercision arms website, says it ships the same day.

Looks like a good time

Hope it's a great one. Thanks for all that you do!

Here is a pic of you guys up on the hill. It's tough to see the buck but he was bedded under the first deals juniper under your feet.

Non Resident solo hunt questions
Flatlander replied to CurtisD's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I hunt a Northern unit (20's) every year. There is plenty of wilderness and deer and the Oct / Nov draw odds are about guaranteed. You are welcome in our camp any time. -
With an orange coueswhitetail.com sticker. Saw you at Houston and Lindsay at about 4 on Sunday.

It was a pleasure to watch. I didn't think that buck would ever stand up. When he did we were all hollering. Congrats to you daughter for getting it done, hope to see you in the field again sometime.
-
Congrats Kevin. I was the guy at the bottom of the hill blowing on the varmint call with Mark. My wife and kids watched the whole thing and were super excited. BTW I saw that buck on the archery hunt in the exact spot where you killed him.
-
Totally awesome. My wife had her first elk hunt this weekend. What a blast.
-
Thanks to everyone who sent PM's with advice. We saw elk every morning and every night. Started the hunt with 7 bulls bugling in a meadow below us and ended it with a stalk on some elk headed for the same meadow. It was a blast. The best part was as we pulled out last night my wife said, "So, you can put me in for this hunt again next year."

Contact TC Fish at Badlands Custom Taxidermy. He lives in Prescott Valley. Does nice work too.

I watched a nice Muley take a dirt nap at the hands of a 14 yr old girl in unit 7 today. Pretty sure her dad is a member. Hopefully they post up.

Sometimes I think arguing about asu and u of a football is like two hunters arguing about whose forky has bigger eye guards.
-
That's where we plan to be. Hopefully we can glass something up that isn't too tough to get to. Mostly focused on making sure the preto wife and boys have a good experience.

shingles? at 18? that's awful! I know right? I guess I used all my good luck up drawing back to back unit 31 December WT tags.
-
I had shingles on a December WT hunt once. That sucked. I mean seriously, I was 18. Who gets shingles at 18??? As far as a cold, mucinex doesn't do crap for me. I pound the nyquil hard before bed and get lots of sleep then follow it up with gatorade, vitamin C and echinacea during the day.

There is absolutely no repercussion for answering honestly on those cards. There is no way to track them. Above and beyond that there is no law against harvesting an animal if you are unable to recover an animal.

22LR Ammo Currently at Sportsmans
Flatlander replied to rossislider's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Anybody know where I can find some 22 lr? Would sure like to smoke some squirrels with the kiddos. -
Definitely glad this guy got his bull. And to clarify, I am not saying shame on this dude for not recovering his bull. Shame on us as archer's as a whole for wounding so many.
-
I wasn't aware that being ignorant to a problem meant there was not a problem. And this thread was not hijacked, the OP said there were 5 wounded bulls he had heard of and none were this bull. Others commented on this information, nobody hijacked anything Rookie. Additionally I don't recall anyone "passing judgement" on any one. I stated that the loss of game is pathetic and we need to do better. If you disagree with that please speak up, I will then pass judgement. I find it shameful that we as archer's lose so many animals and I see no need to apologize for posting this opinion.

Havalon is all you need. Carry a couple extra blades just in case but I use the javelin for everything including popping joints.

That was a huge let down. ASU is still ASU. The good news is I doubt Texas will be coming after Graham this year.
-
I heard you say you did NOT pick it up.

Flatlander replied to Shedhunteraz's topic in Trail Cameras
Sweet bull, hope you get him. Which hunt do you have?
