Looking For Part Time Employment
Flatlander replied to Non-Typical Solutions's topic in The Campfire
Construction is booming. I always did that with whatever time I had. It served me well, I am still in construction after graduating college. -
How do you even end up with 5 or 6 pig points? I honestly don't think I have been unsuccessful in the draw.

There are some giants in Mormon lake every year. Those bulls don't run all the way down there from Units 9&10 to stand in that mud.

Sweet bucks, sweeter pants. Go Dad!

Oh boy here we go again . . . let me save us the time: Group A: "Game & Fish is so greedy they have ruined every elk unit from 1-7, now they are working on 9&10. It won't be long and there won't be abull over 280 left in the state." Group B: "G&F isn't greedy and they need all that $$$ to buy manage wildlife (and pay settlements with their employee-poachers) . . .We have the best G&F in the world. If you don't believe me go hunt ID." Group A: "You are all nothing but a bunch of G&F groupies, you probably have posters of Larry Voyles on your bedroom walls. Your man crush with these guys makes me sick. You are clearly all too dumb to see how they are ripping us off . . ." Group B: "You guys are a bunch of uneducated goons, what do you want our state to be just like Utah, with the so called sportsmen's groups auctioning off our tags. The G&F is smarter than we can ever hope to be, we have to trust them." Group A: "Your dumb!" Group B: "No your dumb" Group A: "My dad can beat up your dad!" Ok can we just bypass the whole G&F debate and see more pics of bulls now?

Prayers sent Tony. I will say I am a bit relieved. I have felt the pain of selling my stuff out of need and not choice. I am happy to hear that is not your situation and that we may still see you in the hills. I know we haven't met but I admire the heck out of you.

So yeah 6A is a good unit for average bulls but not much trophy quality. All you trophy hunters with all your points should keep holding out for 9, 10 and 23S.

That looks like a pretty good tom. I hope he doesn't stick around either if you are emotionally attached to the bucks in that area.

Its a muley with a wet rump. If it was a whitetail his rump wouldn't look white unless he had his tail up.

Thanks for the explanation Amanda. Keep up the good work, this is the best hunting site on the net.

Non-Resident Coues Hunt - Late Dec

Reavis always has water. -
Headed to 19A.

Lot of bone there. Hope you have a bull tag this year.

You know they make some .22 lr suppressors that work REALLY well. The only pig I ever shot was with a .22 and it dropped in its tracks.

Called another bear in Close 7 yards.

Pretty sure thats a muley running with a muley.

Are you kidding me? Flag received almost 7" of rain in July.

I love Grandpa's pic, you can hardly see the elk. Its all about the family not the trophy. Good reminder. I am impressed that clarets buddy was able to take that bull out of 6A but I am equally impressed that someone crammed the thing whole into a K5 blazer. That seems like a lot of work.

Saw Jeff in the airport yesterday. He was headed home to get after the big blonde. Hope he gets it done.

That is a sexy looking piece of iron right there.

My unit sucks . . . No my unit sucks . . . Jeez guys you are starting to sound like my friends in Idaho. But I bet 33 and 36A are both better than ID. -
Ultimate Kids Bow - Infinite Edge
Flatlander replied to Flatlander's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
I now have one at my house you can try out if you like. Its set at 14.5" draw and 10 lbs. -
I posted a thread earlier and asked peoples opinions on kids' bows. One of the bows that kept coming up was the Diamond Infinite Edge. This weekend I was at my biddies bow shop and he had a pink camo one set up for women to shoot. We were able to crank it down to 25 lbs and let the wife shoot it 20 or so times. She had a blast, and even with no prior archery experience was able to quickly start to group shots.. After the wife got done we took the same bow downstairs, put it in the press and changed the module settings. Without changing any hardware we were able to set the draw length to 14.5" and the draw weight at just over 10 lbs. Both my 4 year old and 5 year old were able to draw the bow on their own and shoot it. The bow was a little heavy for them so I had to support their left arm to hold the bow steady. But a 6 year old girl at the shop was able to shoot completely on he own. This bow is incredible. I have definitely found the answer to my questions about which bow is the best starter bow for kids. My boys will be able to shoot this bow (not this exact one we elected to order one that wasn't pink) from 4 yrs old to the time they begin hunting. If they want a man bow after that its on them to buy it This is a sweet bow I haven't heard a lot about so I thought I would let some more folks know about it.

Bump for the weekend.
