Portions of Prescott NF to close to campers until Jan of 2023
Flatlander replied to PRDATR's topic in The Campfire
There are consequences for being irresponsible public land owners as well. This is the result of surface shutters and trash dumpers. -
I pay my kids a set amount for each chore. Paid in cash at time of services rendered. Mostly singles right now but might change that now that my daughter is getting older. Don’t want to condition her to chasing singles.

I thought you didn’t need one until you got drawn?

This would be a great way for someone to get a Kodiak tent at a discount. Or a nice pair of Kennetreks. Or a Garmin Inreach. Just the right amount for any of those.

Is Kidso fully MIA now? He was the master of calling big predators.

I saw a spike with a swollen neck yesterday. And a mature 3 PT running with 12 does.

Do the missing G2 and no video of the shot have anything to do with each other? 😬😁

The only squeak my optics hunter has is in the waist belt. I think it’s the belt itself. I hate that. I think the bottom zipper you are talking about is for the bottom of the bow pocket? In that case the pocket folds down and should be lower than the main compartment.

That buck is ridiculous! Congrats on a giant, love those big forky’s!!!

Looks like a great time!

Ha, I was talking about Lance Kenyon but if the shoe fits 😂

Don’t mind Lance, his wife has been “social distancing” him since March. They have been switching the early firearms hunts in 1 unit each year to precede the archery hunts. I am putting a repeal of this poppycock on my wishlist for the 2023 guidelines. Has this worked out well for anyone? The 22S muzzleloader hunt is one of the hottest, most miserable elk hunts in the state anyway. Then move it up two weeks and see if anyone can even kill an elk in 95 degree temps without it spoiling before it hits the ground. They did this in 2017 when I was due for a 22 archery tag after applying for 12 years. But I wasn’t willing to do that hunt after 50 of the best bulls had been killed by rifle and muzzleloader hunters.

THATS THE ONE ☝️. Been looking for this and couldn’t figure out how to search it on Amazon. For $10 they are going to put all those others out of business. -
Anyone using the Leica CRF 2400 or the Nikon Monarch 3000? I am really interested in the image stabilizing function of the Nikon. These were all the rage at shot show 2018 but haven’t heard much since.

I called at 8:09 was number 7 in line. Never got an answer and after 30 min was transferred to a VM.

Most of these guys are buying a license anyway so it’s really just the $300 non-permit tag. And I wouldn’t suggest banning them. Just making them choose between rifle or archery. The days of being able to hunt otc archery, leftover coues and build points for the Kaibab are about done. Definitely time for them to be over for NR.

Healy’s had some really sweet Bergaras in-stock. Maybe some CZ’s as well. Good luck finding a Remington or Winchester since they both are out of production.

That’s what I meant, not a FOIA. I’d like to get 2017-2020. Trends are more important than single year data.

Mine was smooth. Trying to do my wife an mom's now. It's not working. Currently 23rd caller in line for IT support.

My apologies. There are a number of folks on here who have beaten this to death per the years. I assumed you were one of them. And well, you know what happens when we assume. My bad.

We’ve been through this. You know the answer but since you clearly (by posting the question 3x) can’t move on without making your point, we can go over it again. Volunteer responses to hunt surveys are the only data they currently collect. The suggestion has been made before that it be mandatory. The dept feels that compelling responses could create less accurate data. That idea could be challenged but from an input standpoint, I am less inclined to tell them HOW to do their job (collect their data) but more inclined to provide input on what I would like them to accomplish. You don’t have to agree. You can and should speak up at a meeting about this. This may be a bit off track for the current discussion and may warrant a different thread if we want to explore or discuss it further out of respect to the OP.

The guidelines lay this out. If archery harvest exceeds 20% the first adjustment is to eliminate December, then reduce January to two weeks, then it goes to a draw. Here is a link to the guidelines in case anyone is into reading. https://azgfd-portal-wordpress-pantheon.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/archive/AZ-Hunt-Guidelines-2018-2023_7-26-2019.pdf

I don’t think hybrids can reproduce.

I left a message for Amber Munig. If I get a response I will keep everyone posted.
