If I was buying it’d probably be the Mossberg 510 mini bantam. 18.5” barrel and comes with multiple shoulder pads to add length as they grow.

They will come in whenever they get thirsty, which can be any time during the rut when they are running off other bucks and chasing does. The problem with sitting a few hours is that very often those goats will be within sight but not within range. So getting in and out of the blind without spooking them can be challenging. But sitting water is by far the most successful strategy for archery goats.

For what it’s worth our 12AW tag hasn’t arrived yet either. At least the deer ones. My kid has a buffalo tag in the truck he is itching to use this weekend. None of our deer tags are here yet though. (4 in this house)

Now that I think of it, there is one change that actually would increase draw odds. Make people choose to apply for a single once in a lifetime hunt (either rocky or desert or buffalo) Or apply for anything else. No bonus points for OIL. Thats why ID has the best sheep and moose odds in the country.
