This has been my greatest fear the last two years when we saw our charge. I spent the entire morning going through the receipts from the draw and confirming all $13 app fees not $15. Hard to believe it till you see it in writing. -

Kofa’s here!!! -
Something like that. Seems like they start populating midday and full results by end of day that it starts. Waiting for someone to say they can’t access their account. Usually that’s a dead giveaway that something is happening.

It will wither be after my archery bull tag, son’s antelope tag and before my wife’s bull tag and my brother’s bull tag. Or it will be after the antelope hunt and three bull tags. Somewhere in there someone got a deer tag too. Doctor’s are welcome on all of it. -

My parents spend their summers in Clancy. It’s perfect. Wish a guy could make a living there.

Yes, there are perennial water sources. Some naturally occurring and some man made. The ones you can find that aren’t right on a road are pretty clutch. Migrations are less drastic in most of AZ than in other Rocky Mountain states. But it does happen. There are places where the elk move quite a ways to rut and then back to recover. Coues deer tend to have a home range and hold tight outside of the rut. Then bucks can wander all over gods green earth. Desert mule deer tend to be unpredictable wanderers most of the year. In some areas we hunt, once the rut kicks in it seems like all the bucks show up in one area, albeit at different times over a few weeks. Super hard to find the same desert muley twice. High elevation deer rarely migrate due to snow other than north of the Colorado River. A lot of it is similar to Montana if you hunted open country. Just lower densities. Get a tripod, put the best binoculars you can buy on it and start glassing. Good luck. Tons of opportunity in this state if you know how to take advantage of it. Also, the quail hunting can be pretty good in S. AZ.

MAP - Senate Bill USFS Lands for Sale - Units 5, 6 & 21 Hit Hard

Gallego and Kelly are going to vote against this no matter what. They aren’t going to hand Trump a landmark piece of legislation like the BBB. If this stays in the senate bill and passes reconciliation it goes back to the house. After contacting senators, next step is house reps. Stanton is my rep he isn’t voting for this either. The approach I have taken is to post in every public place I can think of that this is unacceptable. That if republicans force this through reconciliation, it’s the nail in the coffin for the GOP in AZ. They’ve already lost so much support in the state that pissing off a huge portion of your base will be enough to suck all the momentum out of their sails and solidify the democrats stronghold. We need to put pressure on republicans to push back on this. -

Either of those is an exceptional hunt. If it’s in the cards, I would recommend hiring some help. Both of those units can be tricky. What we learned last year was that judging sheep was much tougher than I expected. But man what a journey it was. So many memories. After my son’s hunt last year I thought it would be a lifetime before we got to experience it again. But, somehow lightning struck twice. Someone in the family drew again this year! -
Congrats dude! What did you apply for?
-
I’d be taking that offer!

Nobody deserves this much luck. But I am happy my kids are getting some really cool experiences while they are young!

This is in reference to CHAMP permits, not crossbow permits. That being said… I don’t think anyone has presented any actual data on fraudulent crossbow use. If they have, I would be interested to see how that info was gathered.

Most importantly though, why would we make life harder for people who already have a harder life. So compound Bowhunters can hunt whatever unit they want? No thanks. I’d rather a few people abuse the privilege than make life tougher than needed for those who actually have a problem. If that impacts my opportunity, I can live with that.

Because they want it to be done by a specific kind of doctor. But I don’t think this group of people know what doctors could diagnose these kinds of conditions nor do I think the dept wants to be in the middle of lawsuits about requiring people with disabilities to visit doctors they would not need to visit otherwise for a signature for something that has nothing to do with their area of specialty. For instance, someone with a neurological condition may meet all of the other requirements but not be treated by an orthopedic surgeon, because their condition is primarily related to the nervous system. Under this proposal that person would need to visit a specialist who knows nothing about their condition, potentially obtaining a referral to do so (which would require another office visit and associated cost), providing medical history, and then helping them understand the process designated by AZGFD. Seems like an awful lot of burden to heap onto people who already have to deal with a lot just to prevent a few people from maintaining their CHAMP permit because they aren’t disabled enough. This whole thing just wreaks of jealousy and self-preservation.

Mike Lee R-UT, by way of Trump's Big Beautiful Bill. The best way to kill it will be to make sure that the BBB can't pass with it in there. Montana already negotiated an exclusion from federal land sales in this bill so their senators will vote for sales elsewhere, but not at home. What a crock. We need to make sure that Trump and any republican with an aspiration for something higher knows we will not let this stand. That if they ever want a vote from a hunter, they better take this out. I mean, they could propose to develop Mount Graham. What a crock. -

Unbelievable. All of the Usery mountains. The entire lower salt recreation area. Huge portions of the rim above pine, strawberry and Christopher creek. Huge piece of the Tonto NF West of the 87. All so they can roll up a few bucks into the national budget and spend it in one year. Unbelievable. Now would be a great time to contact every legislator you know.
