This...exactly how I’ve traveled with a large backpack before for a backpacking trip. No hunting gear involved, but same concept. We also had a car seat bag from our kids at the time and used that for one of our packs. Both worked fine and kept the straps and buckled from getting caught in everything and dirty from handling.

SD later this week with the family...not going to get any fishing in, but any specific recommendations on where to see the big catches being brought in?

Anyone know the story on Bear Wallow Cafe in Alpine? Google says temporarily closed, but it looks more than temporary when I drove by this weekend...usually try to stop there at least once while I’m in 27 and was disappointed...
