    Lightweight Riflescope

https://cdn.leupold.com/content/documents/Leupold_Catalog_2018_MR.pdf All be damned Leupold does claim this on page 74 under reticles at the .pdf link above. DEAD ON AT 100 YARDS OR 1,000 YARDS? UNDERSTANDING LONG-RANGE RETICLES Long-range riflescopes should be optimized to shoot at long range…not to perform perfect box drills at 100 yards. To understand why we make the choices we do, you have to understand long-range precision reticle engineering. Adjusting the side focus of any long-range riflescope moves an internal lens that changes the overall magnification by a small fraction. This creates reticle subtension deviations at different distances. Scope manufacturers must choose the distance at which you’ll notice this deviation.

    Food for Thought

I think this topic belongs in a political section. How does it makes sense to go into the "Long Range Hunting" section and start questioning, bashing, and threatening people on the topic of the section? Isn't this about the same logic as coming on to a hunting site and telling people to stop hunting? Let's have a section for debate and we can put all of the topics we regularly see in one area: Hunting over water or salt licks game cams recurve vs compound scopes & range finders caliber restrictions Assault, semi-auto, & Auto ATV's & UTV's Trapping Guides I am sure there are many more entertaining "ethical & fair chase" topics.

    Food for Thought

I apologize, I must have missed the posting rules for posting on "your" thread. Can you please re-post the rules so nobody else offends you? I find it amusing that of ALL the crap that is posted, you pick MINE to get offended about... and yes, it WAS funny. Better watch out. He is going to message you saying he knows all about you and its going to get ugly etc. Or maybe I'm the only one he... That really happened? Most other forums ban internet tough guys making threats. Not to mention that is just sad, dumb, and immature, when you never know who it is you are threatening.

    Favorite Trail Cams

Spypoint Tiny cam which are on Camofire quite a bit. We have banged them around pretty good in the back of the UTV, put them in snow and in the desert heat and still working over the last 4 or 5 years.

    Ear Muffs

I think the Howard Leight for $30-$35 are the best deal out there. I have had a pair for years and they still work even after being banged around in the truck with no special care. I recently bough a pair of the Walker's also and was surprised they are no better than the HL's and a little bulkier. Also, don't expect great hearing without spending a bunch more on stereo phones which are going to be a lot more expensive and bulkier.

    Credit Card Hit!

got it thanks! Looks like my daughter got a Jr deer tag. Luckiest kid on earth has drawn a tag for something every year since she started hunting. Her sister wants to have her shot!

    Credit Card Hit!

why do they come through at $25 and $45? Is the charge minus the $13 for bonus point? I know I should remember this but wanted to be sure what I was watching for. Thanks!

    Wtb garage fridge

I have one that we were getting ready to send to Goodwill, if you still need one, in the Chandler. I just replaced it with a larger fridge but it works fine. Very basic white fridge.
  11. I Just setup a rifle with these after I determined that Spuhr rings would not mount. I wanted a set with integrated level. https://tier-one.eu/products/tier-one-precision-tactical-rings These are very well made, on par with the Spuhr rings just a tad lighter. Yes they are expensive and yes you have to order from the UK. The people are very polite and helpful and shipping was crazy fast. Their packaging may be the best I have seen and includes both bits required for your torque driver to do the installation. I will use them again for any large scopes. This time it was a new ZP5 I found for a great price.

    What's Your One Indispensable Exercise

Squats! A million variations, with weight or with out, near full body recruitment. You could do them in a closet if you had to and you can make them aerobic as well. You said indispensable not favorite... cause squat day can absolutely suck!!!

    Hydrographics tank

Not sure if Nathan answered but he is doing a stock for my daughters rifle right now. I think he is starting to do Cerakote as well.
  15. I would give my vote to Manners as well with McMillan right behind them because they are local. Both look great with the CF showing through.

    Suppressor

I wear protection when at the range but would not hesitate to go without for hunting.

    Suppressor

The 7 is probably more versatile and quieter, You still have the crack from being super sonic on any of those calibers. Check with Mr Silencer and see if he has any demo day coming up. Great guy to deal with, he is in the E Valley and has demos a few times a year.

    Suppressor

I have not just the reviews and videos. Of course it is not going to be as quiet as the longer tubes but I would be okay with that for a 6.5 lighter weight rifle. I just assumed it was going to be used for hunting. What caliber are you shooting?

    Suppressor

https://www.ar15.com/forums/Armory/Crux-suppressors/20-487765/ Seems the AR15 guys avoid Crux Thunder Beast Ultra 5 will get my money if/when I buy another. Short and light is best for hunting, adding 5"-6" to the barrel becomes a PITA. I have a Gemtech Sandstorm now but I just don't shoot it enough mostly because I have not focused on one gun and one go to load just for the supressor.
  21. Yes I have had boxes that look tarnished, mostly the paper boxes from the old days. No issue at all, they end up that way if you have rounds you don't use for a long period of time anyway.

    Cascade mountain tech ice chests

seems like a great deal! I have a Vibe and it is a great cooler from one of the Kayak companies. Built like a tank very similar design. Just noticed they have a 110 now. https://vibekayaks.com/products/vibe-element-75-cooler

    UNIT 10 RIFLE

A few videos out there of dudes hunting mountain goats in these suits. You have to go to the middle of the video before he suits up and starts climbing. Guess he wasn't worried about getting boonered and falling off a cliff. Explain that when you get a copter ride to the ER.
