    Wild Horses???

What I dont get is how the same groups are all for letting forest fires burn, and wildlife die due to other acts of nature but then feel this great calling to care for feral horses, dogs, cats, etc. Guess you cant explain crazy.

    What To Build

My vote i still for the 260, 260 AI, or the SLR. I know you have moved past the 6.5x284 but just to support what was said it is a LA cartridge. I have 2 of them and the SA on my daughters rifle which has been fluted and lightened everywhere possible is effectively a single shot. I looked at the extended mags but decided to just leave it as is sine she now wants to shoot the 7mm when asked. My philosophy now is too keep things simple. I no longer have the 7mm Dakota, 6x284, or any other of the wildcat super hot cartridges that I can't readily find brass.

You can drive over to Dillon in Scottsdale and buy one of theirs and check out all the reloading gear. Good folks and great equipment.

Lets talk battery operated led lanterns

I have a rechargable one that will also charge your phone. My wife gave it to me for my BDay and it has lasted a long time but the switxh finally went. I agree with the recommendation on the little pop ip ones on Amazon. They work well, 3 pack is cheap and they are surpisingly durable. I also recommend the solar powered light that blow up. Really coonvenient since they fold flat and never need batteries.

    Lightweight tripod

the challenge is always if you want to be able to stand. if you stand then you will pay more and have a bit heavier tripod even if you go carbon fiber. I have a very light Benro carbon with a Jim White head which is about as light as I could get a set up but it is a sitting rig. I carry my Manfrotto pretty much all the time now it is carbon but at least a pound heavier, it is bullet proof and I can stand and glass.

    Kids shotgun question.

Youth guns are very light, single shots even more and they kick like a mule. I don't even like to shoot the little single shot 20 we have. .410 may be a lot better but I have never owned one. Like everyone said all kids are different I have daughters and one of them is not bothered by any amount of recoil so far 300 RUM 357 pistol etc. She asked why I don't I have a 50 cal. a few years back. The other seems to feel everything and is very sensitive to noise as well. See if you can borrow one if you can so you can do a test run.

Jon Boat size for Rim Lakes

The smallest one when you are towing it and the biggest one when you are on the lake with all your gear and friends. We have a little aluminum boat we use on the rim lakes but it is a v-hull not a jon. With as much wind as you get some days water can easily come in the jon boat and steering it can be a major pain. just my $0.02

    ATV vs UTV vs 4Runner/Samuri/Etc

I have had them all as well except for a samurai. Unfortunately it depends where you hunt. UTV is the best overall but it can suck when it is hot, really cold, or wet. My next toy will be a samurai or geo but I can get extra use out of it at the cabin.

    Tumblers for reloading

Nope, best thing since sliced bread! Harbor Freight tumbler and stainles steel pins = shiny clean brass all the way down to the flash holes. A bargain to set ul as well.

    Keto

okay you win! I know nothing, got it.

    Keto

More and morr science showing a calorie is not a calorie. Rememer how we get calorie measurements and then remember how complex the body is. A caloric deficit is not exactly the same regardles of macro and micro nutrients. Yes they will be similar but there is a lot going on even down to individual tolerance of certain nutrients. You want an extreme example try 5000 Kcal of Exlax! Seriously we know it is not that simple and I will agree that I know no one who has not last weight and improved body comp on Keto. That being said it can get really old and some people dont do well with high fat, like Exlax 😁. But we do have to expect potentially different results using glucose for fuel vs ketones. We expect a different outcome in physics and chemistry based on the fuel being burned why would we fight the concept when it comes to human physiology. If you really want to dig into the keto topic start by reading research from Dominic DAgostino and his work funded by NASA and the Defense Dept. he is an independent scientist trying to maximize performance based on research and would just as quickly recomend an all carb diet as keto if research supported it.
  23. Ha ha ha! Hard to argue that for most of them.
  24. Anyone have feedback on March rifle scopes? They seem to be very light compared to other premium brands and the reviews I have found are good. But hard to find many places selling them. Thanks!

Buying a used suburban or yukon, what to look for?

Lucfu1 good list I had an Avalanche and a 1/4ton between then all you mentioned but the tranny. The ticking seems to only be annoying because they both ran very well into the 150k+ range with no issuee. The avy had the gas leak, never seen it mentioned before. The things that drove me nuts were windoe motors, crappy door panels, guages, tie rods (off road). Newer versions are mich better after 2008.
