    Side x side opinions

I have a Teryx4 and really like it. Had a rzr but I am in the minority and like the teryx better. We don't go out to blaze around so the 4 full size seats and rear storage is more important than the long travel top speed specs. I use it more like a jeep than a sand rail.
  3. We saw one boar and a sow with cubs opening weekend. Up high and there are acorns everywhere right now so I am not sure they need the pears. We heard some shots as well so someone found a few much closer than we did.

    Tripod/ Outdoorsman Pistol Grip help!

yep, the stud from the tripod should come out but the panning adapter will make it move MUCH smoother.

    adjusting shooter app drops

Extra zero somewhere is my guess. The only way I think you could get real help would be screen shots of the app and your settings so someone can replicate it. I was in the app all day today moving my info to the ABS app for the Sig Kilo. My MV is close to yours and 500yds drop is probably in the +40" range. No bullet info but that should be similar to my 7mm, unless you have a cazy light bullet. I don't get on here as much anymore but will check back tomorrow.
  6. My daugters audad turned out awesome. He does great work and the turn around was quick. Thanks!

    Protein Powders

I have tried every brand in this list and more. Try Beverly Ultimate Muscle Protein. All my kids and super picky wife will drink Bev and I have yet to find anyone that doesn't like it. Company has been in business a long time and has a huge following from the natural body building scene, they will write your programing for free as well. They run 40% off every other week. I have zero to do with the company even though this sounds like an add. 😃
  8. My go to rifle is my 7mm RM but we have 2 6.5-284's so I like both calibers just fine. I would go with the 6.5/06 because I have been fascinated with the 6.5 and all its hype the last couple of years. Cheap brass and great components available with a ton of recipes from the obsessive bench crowd make a good load fairly easy to find. I like the recommendation of a light-weight rifle you can still shoot out to the middle long ranges. You have plenty of other good tools for longer shots already. Not sure why there are always so many comments on limited bullet choices you only need one really good one for killing critters!
  9. I have a 2015 Denali 2500HD Duramax, interior is about as nice as my AMG just a bit more plastic, loving this truck. It really depends who is driving it but I get 16-18 in town and only a bit better on the highway and not doing 80 or trying to pass everyone I see. My wife drives the thing and gets about 14 but she also made the hybrid car we had get about 10mpg less than I used to get. You know it is important to accelerate when approaching a red light. I would get rid of the EPA stuff but I still have a lot left on the warranty so until then it stays pretty much stock.
  10. Just trying to get the pics up on this one, sorry not much time to write the story since I am heading out of the country. Shot this old dude at 648 yds my longest to date on big game. Cactus buck looked very old and his teeth were starting to fall out. Depending on who was counting the drop tine side had 10-11 points and took almost 2 hands to get around the base. Tried to take a few angles but a lot of the points are coming out the backside, 4x10 So what do you think ugliest thing you have seen or awesome? Too many critters on the wall so he will be a Euro mount which was killing me not to do the shoulder mount.
  11. Why would anyone knock the crap out of anyone, as you said he doesn't know him or he would know he gives good feedback and helps out other members. We all get why he assumed he was being jerked around others on here and other sites do post garbage like that. This site is usually better than that so lets keep it that way, he made a mistake let it pass.

    Sightron scopes ?

lance, I read that article and was a little surprised by the Bushnell since everyone seems to be down on them. By the talk on some of the tactical sites you would also think the SWFA SS is built with a bit of magic. I have a little suspicion that Vortex and Nightforce spend a bit more sponsoring and catering to this crowd. Don't get me wrong I want a Razor II!

    Sightron scopes ?

Remember there are varying levels for each mfg. Vortex may have a lot of people down on them but they sell a $h!t ton of scopes in all price ranges and I have not seen anyone complain about the Razor which brings very high praises. I would still like to own a Razor at some point. Desert Bull pretty sure you would use and like a Leupold if it were a Mark 4 ER/T.

    Sightron scopes ?

We just put one I picked up from a member here on my daughters rifle. Seems like really good glass for the money, the turrets seems better than our PST on par with my Leupold E/RT and as brighter as my Nightforce.

My 2016 Mule Deer, Ugly or Awesome?

yep I was surprised how big and fat he was. I am guessing you have seen him before, seems like most of you guys have.

My 2016 Mule Deer, Ugly or Awesome?

His teeth were falling out and he only had one front tooth. After seeing him on 3 occasions he also seemed to stay put in the same couple of hills/valley and was extremely good at hiding while the other deer would get out of town every time when people were in the area. I am not sure if that is what old deer do but he did act different.

    Tire Suggestions

Another vote for Toyo but I have the RT's on my 2500. Great tires after I chewed through the last Nitto's. On our Avalanche with the 6" lift the Pro Comp were the best tires I have ever run on it.

    "Good to a thousand" mentality??

How is anyone actually surprised? Seems an awful lot of people are not responsible for much of anything they do these days. Same thing here. Really nothing has changed, used to be open sites or 4x scopes to 300yds. A LOT of articles in the past stating how to do it. All that being said 500yds is a long way! Practice to 1,000 so that 500 becomes reasonable. If you aren't breaking out your anomometer, shooting program,or drop chart you probably should not be shooting. It aint a fast process, Just saying...

My 2016 Mule Deer, Ugly or Awesome?

Bowhunt that has got to be him! One of the guides had pics from last year of him as well. the first day we saw him running with a 4x4 and a really big frame 3x3 with a cheater. the day before I shot him I almost took a crack at the big 3x3 but all of them were on the move after 3 coyotes tied to sneak in on them and got very close.

My 2016 Mule Deer, Ugly or Awesome?

Ha! I did not hesitate either. All the guys with me laughed and said I didn't seem to give it much thought. He gave us the slip on two other occasions, smart old deer. Pic angle is bad for how big and fat this thing was. Steaks have been fantastic!
