Fantastic! Some great trophies in that line up, well done!

I posted my daughters story and we watched a big 'un all day Thursday before her hunt. May have been the biggest I have seen in AZ, it made the fork and 3 pt he was with look like babies. Bedded that sucker down after watching him for 3-4 hours that day. He completely disappeared on opening in day so we missed our sure thing this year. Good luck to the rest of you keep knocking down those bruisers!

Great season! Two great bucks and a bear, on a roll! I have seen a couple giant forks like that and I myself would not hesitate to shoot one. I have no problem with funky deer that look unique they usually have great stories that everyone remembers. Nice job helping other hunters to find success!

Mine and my Little brother Bucks

Nice job! That is a toad I would have guessed a little more than 110, well done! -
KaibabHunter, did they tell you needed the adjusters or are they good to go without them? I am asking for future reference when I bite the bullet and buy a set. Thanks!

If all my junk wasn't in storage waiting for the move into the new place I would loan you my 6.5 dies but I can't get to them right now. See if anyone you know has a set you can run a couple of cases full length through and if there is any difference. Cheapest way to check your die I know of. The headspace gauge is solid advice but I skipped that because you said the gun chambers new brass just fine which means the chamber has pretty much got to be in spec. Nosler brass is amazingly uniform and consistent in my experience. They actually machine flash holes and case mouths on their new brass, it is fantastic stuff!

I was thinking the same thing, lots of big bucks!

Bruiser! Congrats!

Awesome!

First I would call RCBS it could be the die is out of spec (not likely but maybe) they may straight up replace it just as a courtesy. You could order a shoulder bump die and a body die. This will avoid the bottoming out issue and let you very specifically move the shoulder back. The body die alone may remove the tightness so start there. With the shoulder bump starting at 0.001 and using the same increment moving it back until it cycles and write it down, and create an indicator mark on the die and press so it is always correct. Probably no need to say it but every time you reset your die run a test case through all steps in you process and make sure it cycles before you do final loading just in case something moves. Check out this link: http://www.scout.com/military/snipers-hide/forums/5532-reloading/14117194-anyone-ever-had-any-issues-with-1x-brass If there are still issues then the best solution would be to send Redding a couple fired cases and have custom die made. This costs a lot more but it is almost always the best solution.

195 grain berger 7mm mag
rcdinaz replied to 5guyshunting's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
If you have one of the big 7mm that looks like an awesome bullet! I shoot the 180's out of my Dakota and it is a great load. I don't think I would run those through my 7mm RM. I stick to the 168's in the RM which seem to be plenty adequate. -
That may be my favorite deer.. ever! What a fantastic animal!

A few young ladies taking care of business

Wow! Congratulations! -
Good read! The findings do make a lot of sense and I will be giving the Hornady bullets a run next year. Assuming we can find the dang things! That being said I have been shooting the Nosler LR Accubond with fantastic results, 168gr, 7mm RM. 7 deer and 1 bear in the last 3 years and all were one and done from 260yds to 530yds. I shot these out to around 800yd and had very good accuracy. Previous to these I shot the Berger's and still do. The wierd thing is I had slightly better ballistic (drop) performance with the Noslers. Not bragging on the game taken (i was not the only shooter) just bringing it up because I think the changes must be small with the polymer tips and their relevance to accuracy must be VERY small. I still think it could be worth the change and agree any pick up in accuracy/consistency is worth a change no matter how small. I can't wait to see the first findings and testing results we see from hunters in the field on this forum.

Good work str8shot! I posted the same info but it would not update. The only thing I will add is that Amazon has the screens as well $22 and easy to return if it ain't right. If it is not the screen then send it to Garmin. You do not want to get into the flex cable, board component part of the device or you could trash it permanently, even a simple ESD discharge can fry the very small components. YouTube had some good videos as well.

Nice pictures, and a great story!

I got slightly different on Shooter but very close and did notice if I play with turning on and off Coriolis and spin drift it changes 3-4 inches and 0.1 MOA. G7 vs G1 is obviously a little different even as a starting place. A few other variables available as well depending on the program. I agree with all of the other assessment, you gotta shoot it at some point!

Nice job! I missed a hog like that on my only California hunt. My buddy had already shot at another one so it was moving, all I made it do was dance faster.

I have never had this problem (that I know of) Burris, Leupold, Vortex, Bushnell, Nightforce. But you have me thinking I need to try it and see if any of them do move just for piece of mind. -

I would get all 4 and also carry a come-along and a tow strap. It may take a little time but you should be able to get our of just about any hole.

I don't get it what did he do wrong? Glassing from the roads is that the crime?

Great deer! Congratulations!
